USA_Loyal_Royal so far from my memory this has been the best overall transfer window in the history of the club! and we are only half way to the number of players AZ wants to bring in!

can you recall any better transfer windows than this?

Messi, Ronaldo, Falcao, Cavani

Sorted.

Pretty sure I got Messi on loan in Championship Manager 5 so there's always hope.

Surely we are best placed to judge this particular transfer window in January 2014 or at the end of next season?

"Best transfer window" = the transfer window where we've lashed the most money around like a plumber who's just won the lottery

Easy, 2005/06.

1st Million pound signing in Lita, two great young Irish strikers who went on to make a real impact, the legendary Bryn, S Hunt and Oster as capable back ups on the wings and...

Eric Obinna Chukwunyelu.

And Chris Makin!

(plus Graham Stack and the unannounced re-signing of the young Australian goalkeeper we'd released in June)

Goddamn why does no-one remember Sekou Baradji?

Exactly. Magnificent 7 mark 1 was amazing as they all turned up suddenly in 48 hours before anyone knew what was going on, trouble is they were, generally, not of sufficient standard for Division 3 so definitely have to pass time before rating mark 3 (assuming it is 7 who we end up with).

Far too early to call, but so far the window has been impressive.
Incomings have been very impressive, but I am still worried about potential outgoings.

Thankfully, talk of McCarthy and HRK leaving appears to have died down in the last week or so.
With another 3 or 4 supposed arrivals though, it seems almost inevitable that we will lose a few good players otherwise we'd simply have too many.

The only outgoing of concern to me would be McCarthy.

Understand what you are saying. Hope is that outgoings will be high-salaried players who have not done it. Pessimism is due to the fact that players we wish to retain may leave.
I wonder who might buy those. We are a relegated team but with potential to return. Newly promoted clubs will mostly look to NAME players, Championship clubs will not be as attractive as we are. I hope we may be O.K.

Nothing against you personally but I'm not sure what you're doing here. Your site (Kumb) isn't exactly the friendliest fan site. Full of blokes from East Lahdahn and Essex that apparently don't know where Reading is. Romford - what a pcunt. Sweet as a nut? Yeah, a nut. Hope you're reading this Kumb you absolute shower of smug inbred Essex oxf*rd.
