Yeah I'd pretty much go with the OP. Assuming he sticks with a similar style for what should be one of our toughest away games, the only change I'd make from last week is to bring Williams in for HRK.

The more I think about it I'm starting to get used to playing ALF on his own. Would still rather not, mind.

If Maps is forgiven. Do not think HRK is fit to start. Williams was very good and should start if fit.

I may be wrong but I don't think Nige would drop Morrison after making him captain last week.

Yep sadly probably so. I get the impression that NA is looking for more ball playing centre backs.
MAPS can do that the others i think struggle to bring the ball out. I guess that ma
y come..

This isn't far off in my mind. Hal wasn't up to speed last week so I'd have McAnuff start with HRK subbed in later, and I don't think Morrison will be on the bench.

I liked Pog but not sure now. Did you see his cameo (shiteo) on Sat. He gave the ball away in dangerous spots and did little else. Think Drenthe is better out wide.we looked to have
More balance.when he went out on the flank with Williams in cm

I'm fully up to speed why you have dropped Guthrie. What was the reason for the McCarthy hatred again??

My final question, you are playing Pog who has thus far showed poor body language and little effort??

Same team as last week makes sense. See if they can build on last week. If not switch things around a bit for Watford.

I don't if he's good enough but I reckon Adkins might try to play Blackman up front with Le Fondre. At times last season it worked I.E West Ham in particular, but I still haven't seen enough of him to to come to any conclusions.

Overall I'd keep it pretty similar to last weekend:

McCarthy

Gunter, Morrison, Mapps (If available, if not for some fairly odd reason then Pearce), Bridge

McCleary, Karacan, Guthrie, Williams, Royston Ricky Drenthe

Le Fondre

Subs: Feds, (not sure about CB because of Mapps), Kelly, Robson-Kanu, McAnuff, Blackman, Obita (No Pog, don't really like him)

Against a much better side such as Bolton i'd rather see Kelly in then Gunter. No doubting Gunter gets forward better, but Kelly is the better defender.

Suspect Blackman will be on the bench in place of Obita which is a shame. Hopefully Jordan will start the game against the Posh.

Stick with the 4-3-3 that finished against Ipswich. Unchanged back four, Williams in a slightly more advanced role than either Guthrie or Karacan. Standard Pog for 60 minutes to tire out the defenders before Alf wreaks havoc. Assuming Kebe is still unfit.
