Barney
No Fixed Abode I remember going to a an FA Cup game at London Road. Worral Stirling was playing for Posh and I'm sure they beat Reading. I bet most of you weren't there.

I was there. It was 0-0.

I went to that one too. I was told off by a WPC for excessive swearing.

And that's a CSB

We did well to beat them in the FA Cup, they beat us 5-3 a couple of months later on their way to promotion.

I work with a Swinedom fan, apparently they wanted £28 for their league game!

It is possible, but not particularly cheap, because ont he way out you are travelling in peak hours. To get to Peterborough you need to travel from London Kings Cross.
On the way out the journey time is a little over 2 hours, so (for example) departing Reading at 16:26 (via Paddington and Kings Cross) will get you to Peterborough at 18:36, leaving sufficient time to walk to the stadium with a refreshment stop en route.
Fare is £39 advance purchase single.
On the way back the journey is slower. Departing Peterborough at 22:16 you reach Reading at 01:02 (via Kings Cross and Paddington).
Fare is £17.50 advance purcahse single.
Total £56.50 (adult fare).

I know someone who followed Torquay home and away in the 80s, when they had very poor away support.

For a Tuesday night game at Peterborough, he turned up with his wife and young child who was still in a push chair. There were no other visiting fans there and they couldnt get the pushchair in the main stand seats, so he got them to open up the entire away terrace just for the 3 of them. Top supporting that.

Always felt sorry for fans of clubs in the extreme South West. Not many clubs in their vicinity, and the distances they travel are absolutely enormous.

6 tickets arrived today, row F seats 136-141, assuming we'll not have sold many and we'll just go stand at the back though.

Top supporting, but terrible parenting.
