No.

I'm only arguing with your version of what I said.

And you still have it wrong, despite me writing it out several times using English words arranged into sentences.

melonhead so the argument really goes-

you - i disagree with the number of players we shortlist for transfers, the list should be longer, and we should keep going down it till we sign someone
me - im happy with it.i realise its often hard to sign the right player, and am also happy with the number of targets we have, including plan B and C.
you - well, i think you are wrong.
me - i disagree, but understand you feel differently, and respect your right to do so.

But none of us know the extent of the list, so it's pretty pointless arguing about it.

Extended-Phenotype It wasn t you rpositio n.

.

yes it was.still is

i dont think we should just keep going down the list until we sign someone.

we agree on that.

if we can just focus on what we disagree on it would help get to the nub of this discussion

I mean it wasn't YOUR position. It was mine too. That it wasn't, was your imagination. What we are disagreeing about is mostly what you are pretending I said.

Forgetting the straw men, we merely disagree that Reading have been thorough enough with completing the team and about how big the pool of suitable/affordable/available players is.

How big our list is/was I suppose is mostly guesswork, though leaks and offers hint towards only a few names. Whatever, I'd say leaving a transfer window missing your targets and failing to bring anybody in who is suitable/affordable/available is an error fair for criticism.

We need a striker. If we couldn't find one that fits the criteria in the time allowed, I think that's a fail.

tbf though...

- i think its ok to draw a line of the potential transfers and say, below that line we will not go as those players no longer fit what we need so well.
- I also think that, but believe the line should be drawn slightly lower down the list than you do
-i understand your position, but am happy to maintain my own as it is.
- thats very fair, lets move on and concentr8 on your h8red of guthrie

....hardly makes for a baffling barrage of plusonery does it

Already 5 points off top places & 2 points off play-offs after 4 games.
Still no new strikers & NA brings Pog on in the 90th min- I used to wonder about McD
subs but this is quite baffling & very disappointing.
Blackman was poor against Watford & to be picked again in 4-5-1 was unlikely to
work - mid table mediocrity beckons with no investment.
