I read this interesting (well.. to me..) idea of the young vs the old players in your clubs first team. I constructed these teams as "above 25" vs "below 25".

For me the u25 have a superior defense but o25 has a stronger mid and strikeforce

The positions where experience is usually considered at it's most important are central defence and goalkeeper. In the current Reading team, the players who are youngest are in these positions. Of course ability and personality are more important than age, but is this relevant to the current Reading line up?

It would be close, but the Above 25s would edge it IMO.

Would be a very different story if it were Above 27's vs Below 27's. ALF, McCleary, Drenthe and Guthrie all swapping sides would give the young guns a clear advantage.
