Team for Bolton

by Struggle Pig » 17 Jan 2014 07:49

------------------McCarthy-----------------

Gunter-----Hector-----Pearce-----Obita

-----------Williams------McAnuff----------

McCleary--------Taylor--------Blackman

----------------------Pog---------------------

Subs: Federici, Akpan, Gorkss, Cummings, Alf, Drenthe, Tshibola

Obita has to be left back for this match, especially after how well he performed last week. I think Hector has to be given a chance, he is after all back here to prove if he can cut it and needs to be given the opportunity.

I would really like to see Taylor given a run of games to see what he can do, he can certainly perform well and pass the ball around for the U21's, so it would be nice to see if can reproduce that at a higher level. I also think Blackman deserves a start after recent performances.

Pog is obvious for upfront. Him and Macca have been equally POTS for me so far. If only Pog could start converting more goals for us rather than having to come so deep for the ball, hence the 5 man midfield in hope that Pog doesn't have to drift back so much.

Swap Taylor and McAnuff over and then replace Taylor with Akpan. Apart from that I agree with your team.

------------------McCarthy-----------------

Gunter-----Gorkss-----Pearce-----Obita

-----------Williams------Akpan----------

Blackman---------------------------McAnuff

---------------Pog---Le Fondre--------------

Subs: Federici, Hector, Cummings, Kelly, Taylor, McCleary, Drenthe,

I know people would like the see the likes of Hector and Taylor get the nod, butt realistically, Akpan had a decent game last week, and Gorkss showed us why he was a hero in the promotion year.

McAnuff played with passion and deserves his place.

I've gone with Le Fondre to start because we usually play two up top at home, but it could just as easily be Drenthe starting behind Pog.

The club has been making alot of noise about Blackman this week, and with McCleary's very quiet performances over the last few weeks, i'd like to see him start.

Agreed, except I'd start either Blackman or Drenthe ahead of McCleary. Someone else on here has suggested Hector in for Gorkss, but based on last week's performance (and not just his goal) if Hector was to start it should be in place of Pearce.

Dave-Royal Basingstoke Royal Adkins will charge team again I don't think he won't keep a wining team like last week at watford.

Uncanny.

Anyone else bored with him yet?
