Lacoste Brian gone

What?

Sky Sports don't have it online
BBC don't either?

Is this a wind up or just really breaking news?

I think writing off Guthrie is a little premature. He may well step back into the team and show the kind of performance that made him our POTM August and September. It looks bad for him now, but I'm not ruling out the upturn in performance being a coincidence.

I second that. It's pretty pathetic that he was our best player first few games of the season, now he's the reason why we were a lost cause.....until his injury. Coincidence? I think so.

Let's say he is back in the team and ADDS that extra bit more?

If he doesn't, then fine, change will be needed.

So he cocked up by signing him in the first place if that is the case (not sure it is).

USA_Loyal_Royal
bobby1413 Further proof that we don't need Guthrie

maybe we have him in the wrong role, he is the best passer we have and we need that but he is to slow for build up play. if we could find a position for him where he isnt taking the ball from defense but is putting in quick passes in the final third we could possibly have one of the best squads in the division.

Think you sum things up well.

The change has already been made and we are a better team for it.
Guthrie will struggle to get back in, do you honestly think he could have added anything to our midfield today.
He is slow, predictable and rarely ventures out of his own half, added to that he is a bit of a bellend

The change has already been made due to injury, the change in so many games has been to injuries..

..See the pattern?

Maybe you're right, but we won't ever know until there is consistency in the team. Two games in a row ISN'T consistent.

I like the fact that you say "he was our best player first few games of the season"

that's pretty damning - first few? what 3? 4 games?

Guthrie slows the game down, especially with his telegraphed 60 yard cross field passes that enables the opposition team to get themselves in position to defend. The fact the ball has to go through him all the time means we go nowhere with him.

Spot on. There was a massive boo in yesterdays game and that was when the ball was passed back to the keeper unnecessarily. It was about the only time. Williams and Akpan dictated play by moving the ball forward and at pace. Joy to behold

So many fickle Cnuts. There were many things yesterday, passing back, misplaced passes etc that happened at the last home game but becuase we were winning nobody gives a toss.

You are absolutely right on that score. All sense of morality / principle goes out of the window & people start saying "Well done Nigel you're correcting the error of your ways & it's been your fault the entire time we've been toilet"
