marlowuk We will be missing Gorkss for 3 matches too. He has been outstanding recently but a chance for Hector to show what he can do!

I would expect them to appeal it. Only went in with one foot, studs down, got a touch on the ball and was in control of the tackle in my opinion.

LUX Very happy with that.

I can even forgive Kevin D, my favourite ever RFC player.

Same

Glad he celebrated too. Hate it when players don't celebrate a goal for their new clubs

Adkins just said he thought it was a silly challenge and had no complaints. Agree it was a stupid challenge. Red seemed a tad harsh though.

Fair play to Adkins for saying it was a stupid tackle

Strictly speaking he said it was a silly challenge but hadn't seen a replay so couldn't comment if there was contact or not. Judging by his body language I don't think we'll be appealing though.

So maybe he'll watch a replay before making a decision on an appeal.

And yet two experienced professionals regard the foul as a yellow at worst. All about opinions isn't it.

LOLLY @ anyone who thinks Jobi had a bad first half. His set pieces could have been a little better and he didn't make the most of a couple of runs, but solid 6/7 out of 10. He was outstanding second half.

On the red, Gorkss may have got a nibble of the ball and not actually much of Hoilett, but he went in hard and fast and I'm not in the least surprised looking at full speed the ref's given him a red. With the benefit of multi-angle slow-mo replays a yellow would probably be fairer. Shocking decision to fly in like that when 3-1 up.

As for Barton, I think he got lucky that he'd only just been booked and that saved him.

Didn't actually celebrate McCleary's goal. It was that good I just sat dumbfounded with my hands in the air. He's been really really good the last few games.

Ref was pretty poor ignoring two head injuries and making some inconsistent / poor decisions. But we won and that's all that mattered.

Akpan played pretty well, but he just seems to be so easy to go past for opposition players. It's like he's not there half the time. And then he makes some terrible decisions breaking forward. Great job running over for McCleary's interview and shouting "He shanked it!" though.

Hope Pog's knee is ok. He was limping bad at the end.
Williams was outstanding.

An appeal would be pointless, I agree it should have been yellow, but there`s no way that will be overturned

We were the definition of solid in that last 20. Defensively spot on. Nige has given Harry a good slapping this afternoon. Williams MOTM, but credit to Jobi for coming back after a poor first half to put in a massive shift in the second. Pog was a rock too, I'm sure the slump wasn't anything worse than sore limbs.

Is Gorkss suspended for 2 games because he was sent off vs Boro as well?

Typically, violent conduct is a 3 game suspension.

That's certainly what I meant when I said he'd had a poor 1st half: 6/10.
In a typical half it would likely have been a decent enough 1st half performance.
But 1st half today we were mostly excellent in attack (albeit a bit poor in defence). In comparison to most of our other attackers, Jobi had a poor 1st half.

2nd half he was much, much better.
