IMO very harsh. I have seen similar tackles given red cards but I have seen far worse given a yellow. If he had gone in two footed then definitely red but he did not. However, it was a daft tackle to make and a shame as Gorkks has been rock solid in recent weeks.

Great chance for Hector to play 4 games.

Questionable on late and cast-iron 100% not off the ground - you need to watch it again. One foot in below the top of the ball and the trailing thigh sliding along the ground. A yellow all day long and not a red, but...9 refs out of 10 will give it these days and if you watch the replay, the ref cannot get his card out of his pocket fast enough.

Flying in over-enthusiastically from the side, missing most of the ball and clearing out the man sometimes gets a yellow and sometimes gets a red.

Indeed, if 9/10 highly experienced, highly qualified professional officials see something one way then they are much more likely to be right than a random person on the Internet.
The question is whether the tackle was reckless that can be the case if it is one footed and touches the ball. I've not seen it so can't judge but the logic used by some posters is a touch flaky imho

Looked a lot worse than it was at normal speed. I can see why the ref did it.. but a yellow it should have been !

Yep, aggressive tackle but not dangerous, feet were on the floor and he never jumped in..

I thought the ref was far too quick to show the red card especially as Kaspar had not even been booked.. If he had and waived a second yellow i do not think anyone would have moaned but a straight red, surely, he would have been composed enough to speak to the linesman and ask him how he saw it, because the linesman had a far better view of how Gorkss came in and was only about 10 feet away from the incident.. POOR!!

Rightly or wrongly, we'll have to accept it and move on.

Gives Hector a chance to step up to the plate in the same way Obita has done quite nicely. So maybe no great shakes. Gunts can also obviously move across if it goes pear shaped.

Incidentally, how far is Morrison away from a return? It can't be long now surely?

FWIW the ref was an absolute homer the whole game, apparently no foul on Pog was unacceptable, not that it stopped us though so who cares

Definitely not as obvious as stated above but ref does not get benefit of slo mo that shows he just nicked the ball first. Having said that it was careless to dive in . Might just get off on the basis of that replay unless they decide it was reckless.
