WoodleyRoyal
Cripple Creek I'm really interested in this thread because I get to see absolutely zero matches as I'm on the other side of the world. It's great to hear such gushing praise for Williams and as another poster said the remarks on here suggest we've unearthed a gem.
I would be interested on getting a bit of perspective on Gunter. He cost us a lot of money and people have been generally lukewarm about him until recently. My questions really are how good is he and is he someone who looks like he is improving? What are his good qualities and what are his weaknesses?

imo he has the potential to be the best right back for the club in my living memory and I started going in the early 90's and he's still just 24 remember, he reminds me of when Bertrand was playing for us in the champ, he's very quick good on the ball overlaps well forever getting to the byline and getting crosses in, and he has a good cross on him. Defensively he is occasionally naïve getting caught too high up the pitch, letting the ball bounce when he should be getting his head on it, committing him self in the tackle rather than seeing him out. But he is getting better at the defensive side of his game as he plays in a more settled back four. I think the premiership was a season too early for him if we were to be promoted again I would expect a much better season for him.

^this. Except his crossing is pretty shite, never seems to run onto the ball amd whip it in. He takes a touch floats it, which tends to get headed out fairly easily
