Royal Ginger Fatty Drenthe can come on for whichever winger is more knackered at 70 minutes.

Makes me laugh how people say that about Drenthe. Did you actually take a look at him after the match when he was swapping shirts - there is NO fat on him at all...

Last time I saw him close up he was waddling down the touch line pretending to warm up during the Bolton game.

Has he slimmed down? He's clearly not fit.

McCarthy

Gunter
Pearce
Gorkss
Obita

McCleary
Guthrie
Williams
Drenthe

Pog
Le Fondre

We seem to do better against teams who actually go for it, not what Blackburn and Yeovil did and play for the point and get their goals off errors, therefore no need to revert to one striker, keep the pairing up front and really give Brighton's back four a problem rather than lumping it to Pog with one up front, because despite his height he's woeful at winning headers.

floyd__streete Drenthe can absolutely do one. A more expensive Mass Sarr, basically. Drenthe is a dopey prat, best summed up by his insistence on repeatedly crossing from deep against 10/9/8 men who were more than happy in dealing with this approach.

The clamour for this fat waste-of-a-wage to start against a Brighton side who will likely overrun us in midfield is unbelievable :!:

A couple of questions for those who think Drenthe should start:

a) Who should come on for him in the 20th minute when he's completely fcked and unable to offer anymore?

2) Not really a question. More of an opinion. Royston Drenthe has done nothing for RFC and never will do. You win shit all with show ponies like him in your line up. Team ethic is what wins you promotion from this level, not tricks or trying to break the net from 40 yards. Like Guthrie, Adkins and to be honest pretty much all of the playing staff, I cant wait for him to leave.

So Taraabt did nothing for QPR when they won the league then? :|

As Floyd said, he's still more Mass Sarr than superstar right now but face it, with no reinforcements until the summer he's about the only flair player/difference maker that's in the squad and hasn't had a crack in 2014.

Jimmy Kebe used to get similar arguments thrown at him and he turned it round in the end, not saying he will but meh with the season heading down the toilet you might as well give him 1 last try before we desperately try and offload him this summer.

Feds deserves a chance and thought Guthrie and Drenthe both did enough to start

All the reasons given on Twitter seem fair.

I do fear for us defensively down the left.

A shuffle sorely needed after the pathetic attempt against Yeovil.

Methinks partly enforced through the travelling involved to play pointless internationals and perhaps partly through NA wanting to experiment for next season....

A lot of critisism for the line-up but these small minded few aren't taking into consideration that the games are coming thick and fast and you need to utilise the squad, otherwise we end up suffering with fatigue and further injuries. The strength in depth isn't there this season, but that isn't Adkins' fault as we all know. It's harsh to start having a go at him, and the likes of Floyd calling for Adkins head if we lose today is absolutely ridiculous.
