Coming from a club so steeped in tradition and history that it's marketing advert for your home game with Man City was billed as 'come and see City's superstars' - seriously........is that how the club has to flog tickets for its home games, by advertising the away side's players

If your starting lineup contains the likes of Matt Taylor, Kevin Nolan, George McCartney, Carlton Cole, Modibo Maiga (need I go on?) then they can hardly use our own players as an incentive for fans to come and see the match!!

MmmMonsterMunch Bet you can't say you had 5 even 6 academy products in your first team this season...we can & there is nothing that can make you prouder IMO. That is what it's all about.

But I can - did you not see our thrilling FA Cup Third Round Tie away to Nottingham Forest live on ITV? It was a very proud occasion - we fielded 8 youth players during the match and we only lost 5-0. (If we could have just closed down the incredibly athletic Andy Reid on the last goal we could have kept it to a highly respectable 4-0!)

hammerfan123 Did you do another inflatables day again this season? That was brilliant.

My kids hate going to The Boleyn Ground cos they reckon it's a bit childish. They're 9 and 4.

Wtf is that supposed to be? :o

It's Kieron Dyer warming up.

£450,000 a game!!!!

True, they're not the most glamorous of players but they've done a job. I suppose that's the problem, paying premium ticket prices to watch utilitarian football with little in the way of flair or skill.
