Sad news that Jobi's being released. A better captain and player than Murty, yet always got a lot of stick from a section of our fans.

My fav moments include:

Have to agree with you. Underrated by many but I can only assume they know Fcuk all.

Players leave all the time, but for me Jobi should have been offered another contract. Guess all the haters will be happy....I'm not!!!! Thanks Jobi, no matter what people say you have been immense. He's been a good loyal servant, hard working and great captain.

Unfortunately he's a few years past his expiry date. For a winger, I would expect him to get more goals and he was never good enough for the Premiership. But he took us there and for that he will always be a hero

Legend. Probably the best left winger at the club since I've been watching. Great attitude. Calm, dignified and always put a shift in, even when it wasn't going his way.

Definite club legend. The best thing Rodgers did for this club was bringing him in. On his day almost unplayable, and always gave his all even on the days when he couldn't beat an egg.

Think it's the right time to let him go so as to not sour the good memories with his inevitable regression as a player over the next 12 months, but we certainly won't be able to replace him.

Jobi always put maximum effort in to every game and this is really all I ever want from our players. I can't abide passengers in the team who swan about, going through the motions.

This is such a parallel to the season after we failed in the play offs in our first season from relegation. Murts, etc all getting released. Im sad as oxf**d to see jobi go. Although he constantly cut inside and tried but blasted over a finesse shot, frustratingly, he is still a model professional and the type of player you think of when you think of a Reading player. Wish him the best.

One of my favourite every Reading players, clueless oxf*rd have directed vitriol at him for a few seasons now without seeing what he brings to the team and how much he cares. Goal away at Cardiff was glorious.

Sad to see him go. I hoped that there would be enough dosh to offer him another year - but things are obviously bad financially - so I think this was inevitable.

Good luck Jobi - wherever you end up. I think a lot of Championship clubs will want to snap him up on a free.
