John Oster is playing for Gateshead, likely to be in the conference play-offs.

Scott Taylor was a drayman a few years back - delivered to my local and dodged all post-career questions.

FWIW Reading legend Cedric Baseya (now 26 years old) has scored his first ever career goal in Bulgaria http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%A9dric_Baseya

Midwife came over today. Her bro in law is Reading legend Michael Thorp. She also told me about a 'coloured' Reading player who lives in Maiders, who turned out to be Leigertwood.

Sad news on Twitter regarding Terry Bell.

@charles_watts: RIP to former #ReadingFC player Terry Bell who has died, aged 69. He made 98 appearances for Royals between 1969/73, scoring 21 goals.

Nice bloke. I met him at Caversham Bridge Hotel one Christmas. Sadly scored the own goal at Villa that relegated us after being pushed in the back as he went up to head a corner clear.

Found out through refereeing his team that Linden Jones is the first team manager at Swansea City Ladies. Still a nice bloke too.

Saw both of them play in the late 1940's. Unlikely they are still to be seen now!

Not sure if this is the correct thread, nor if it's been mentioned before, but here goes ...

Just found this whilst looking up "our" internationals ...

http://uk.soccerway.com/players/joe-gamble/7031/

Apparently Joe Gamble is now playing for Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Football Club (His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Brunei Football Club in English, commonly known as DPMM FC) is a football club based in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

RG30 And managed by ex academy coach Steve Kean?

Just saw that on the Wiki page. Should have read to the bottom before posting shoudn't I

Assuming it is "our" Steve Kean, then it would explain Joe Gamble being there.
