TommyF
Mr Angry So it begins.....

26 pages in and it's just beginning. That's a slower bloody start than Captain Corelli's Mandolin

Actually, the beginning I meant is the disposal of saleable assets in a "back to basics" retro exercise in cloth cutting to suit our circumstances.

Realistically this fee is going to be £1-millon plus add ons up to £1.5-million, I'm guessing.

Sell everyone Adkins doesn't like, buy new players via new owners.

Or end up starting with an Academy 11.

Hmmmm... risky...

Good fox in the box type player but really doesn't fit in with what NA is trying or wants to do IMO so let's get some cash down for him and start stabilising the back end ready for an assault on mid table obscurity next season.

Now can someone persuade Ole that Robson-Kanu is a must as well?

Adkins has never wanted him, because he's a fvcking idiot, I'm surprised we've kept him this long

15 goals, top scorer. Idiot or no, we'll miss him if we don't replace him.

BBC now reporting it:

Cardiff becoming the new QPR, signing every striker going. They already have Jones and Campbell and some Norwegian kids, and then three striker signings in a week?

I like Le Fondre, but he's definitely one of those players who opposition fans seem to rate more than Reading fans do. Maybe because he hit their consciousness so prolifically with that January spell in the Premiership. Granted I'm disappointed to see him go but as others have said he wasn't the type of player who fit Adkins' style and was always agitating for a move. If we need to sell someone, and it eventually means that we can bring in a replacement who is more suited to Adkins then I'll reluctantly accept that it's Le Fondre. I did see one ridiculous tweet from Charles Watts that "this whole tax bill could be solved if we accept Mohit Burman's bid", surely people would rather we sold a substitute striker than jumped into bed with someone who could potentially ruin it all long term? Maybe Burman will buy the club and will lead us to profit and Champions League glory, but I'd like the board to take a bit of time learning from the AZ saga, considering all bids and making the right choice just for the sake of not selling Le Fondre.

Spot on.

Also, as pointed out above Cardiff do seem to be taking over the QPR role, Vinny Tan seems to be throwing his millions around willy nilly so I think we'll be getting a decent fee.
