Although officially a RFC player, he never actually played a first team game for us.
He made just one appearnce for Southampton as a sub but, famously, didn't actually touch the ball once!
Someone remind me how much we paid for him.

He may not be the best value for money signing but you have to blame those who signed him for that, As he came from Russia I'm thinking there may have been some influence from Anton's side of the table as I don't think Nigel Adkins has been out there and I doubt our scouting network extends that far.jellytot When you consider wages against performances he must be in top 3.

A front like attack force of Paul Brayson and Keith Scott springs to mind.Terminal Boardom Someone doesn't remember football before 2005. There have been plenty of shit players sign for Reading. A lot of them far worse than Drenthe.

Handsome Man Probably. He is probably in the top three of the worst players we have ever had.

John Peel Worst signing - definitely not. Disappointing - yes. He scored, he assisted, he got us excited with his potential. Compare that to about half of Tommy Burns's seven signings on deadline transfer day or £6m worth of disappointment in Fae and Halford. The list before Drenthe is very long. Omar Daley anyone!???

Pepe the Horseman He's not even the worst signing in our current squad.

I thought you said he was overpriced, went missing in big games and was too much of a liability?
