Enjoyable game, much better all round than the 1-1 last season.
Good performances from Blackman and Akpan, brilliant save first half by Feds, as was his distribution that led to the first goal.
I wonder does Gunter have better games when GMc is playing in front of him and tracking back? Seemed to me last night that Gunter didn't get enough help, to the point that I can't even recall who was playing right midfield first half.

St. Brynjar Just watched the highlights, their second was so, so poor from Federici. Flapping like that could easily cost us this year.

We'd be incredibly unlucky to miss out on something by a single goal 2 season running. All his flap cost us was -1 on the goal difference. His double save cancels that out....

Millwall should not have had the chance to score their 2nd goal as the foul given away by Hector when their player was going no where was stupid, he will learn!!

Gunter is too busy getting into a little scrap every game rather than play football

ZacNaloen Oh and Gunter needs to add something to his game other than pace. If he's beaten for that he offers oxf*rd all as a defender.

loyalroyal4life Bit worrying we do not have anyone to come in for Gunter, who again in my opinion looked poor throughout.

Cox MOTM by a mile, not just his 2 goals but moreso his work rate throughout.

Cummings and Kelly being injured doesn't help, next closest is probably Sean Long, I think it would take a few more dodgy performances for Gunter to be dropped though.

Cummings, Farther time Kelly, Long, not one of them will dislodge Gunter :P

CayeneMatt Enjoyable game and carried on from where we left off on Saturday. A nervy 25 mins in the second half when Millwall passed us off the pitch, but 3 points is 3 points.

Norwood again excellent with inch perfect passes out to Mackie.... Who again had no end product. We need GMac back to be more of a threat down the right.

Gunter is still getting caught out of position too often and has developed that cocky swagger. He needs to knucke down again.

Akpan made 1 mistake too many tonight after his improved performance on Saturday. Williams alongside Norwood is a mouthwatering thought.

Cox just gets better and his work rate was top notch mocing deep looking for the ball. The promising we've been in years.

Cocky swagger, just what Nigel ordered

Gunter is a liability and is getting worse by the week, we have better kids coming through and hopefully we will move him on before much longer.

Niall Keown made the bench for the U21s, so he's probably closer to a return than Kelly. If Gunter's form doesn't improve then Keown should be hitting fitness at just the right time.

Otherwise my preference would be for Cooper to come in and Hector to switch to right back.

You can bounce that one straight out the door, Nigel will not be having any of that nonsense, its a real pity you do not get the jest of Championship Football. :D :P

No surprise to see all the over the top criticism for Gunter coinciding with him wearing his new rainbow laces.

And how about the assist for the first goal?

We've seen time and time again that Gunter is a completely different player when McCleary is infront of him. There is chemistry between them that he doesn't have with any of the other wingers and Gunter seems to play with a lot more confidence and freedom.

Looked again at the goals from Tuesday

First RFC goal great work by Cox, but weak defending and poor keeping. (Well done Feds, one area where he's better than McCarthy)

Second thoroughly deserved and Blackman might yet make a very good player!

Third, was it Taylor's flick-on? Was it going in anyway?

Their first was weak from Hector, just loses the striker, basic stuff

The second started with a Millwall handball, an unnecessary foul by Hector, a very poor decision from Federici, and Pearce did poorly for the header (didn't jump, may have been fouled)
