Sorry but we are under performing right now & are pretty pathetic from front to back.

Not saying Adkins out but where is this amazing progress? I'm not convinced there is any. I am already bored to death of this season.

EDIT - being a bit harsh on Murray & Cox - they've done well.

Quite honestly I'd take him over Adkins yes

Lacoste

I'd rather a manager who continued to play football but depends what you want. Football or results. I think pulis had bad press at Stoke yes they went long but they played from there and got plenty of balls in the box. Would be happy enoug.

Agree but depends on the definition of football. If the definition of football is pass it around the back 4 for a bit then hoof it & lose posession then I'd rather see something else.

'Pathetic'? That's a bit of an overreaction..

The cons brigade must be smoking something pretty strong, given some of the 'evidence' that they are coming out with.

However, prize for the most ludicrous claims so far goes to 'Tina' who phoned BBCRB after the game. According to her, Adkins isn't good enough to manage in the Championship, hasn't had any success at that level and was 'found out' by the new owners at Southampton!

Sounded like a fair weather supporter. Who expects the club to be spending millions.

Whenever we lose the Adkins out brigade will always come out of their dark holes, bloody strange how quiet they are when we win. it`s the nature of the beast

Adkins Dire

by Forest Gump » 04 Oct 2014 21:43

Just how good is he and is his value enough to keep him in the job if this pathetic run of form continues.
I have always preferred teams that can pass the ball but I don't think the current squad is good enough to carry this off.
Also, now the ownership situation has been resolved we would hope for some improvement - ti the contrary our form has totally collapsed.
On top of this he does not appears to have a plan b / know how to change tactics when it goes wrong and his team selection appears to be based on who is in the good books rather than skill and experience.
You don't win anything with (just) kids.

Can't find any stats for Sir Steve

Given the time that he deserves (due to the absurd finance and ownership circumstances he has had to endure until recently) I am pretty sure Adkins will significantly improve his stats with Reading.

My how we slaughtered Brian....and we weren't very mindful of what we wished for were we???.

NA made some strange decisions today...in fact they could be construed as "dire"

However, it was only a few weeks ago that we were accepting "mere survival" in the Championship as our target for this season.

Judge the guy at the end of the season
