This is the most mental championship in years. Brighton & Wigan bottom 3....Brentford 2 pts off top spot. Just mental.

Excellent result but poor performance. Couldn't keep hold of the ball and lost out to virtually every 50-50. Is this really the better football that we'd been promised? Looked dire to me.

Gunny Fishcake
Royal Ginger No, not really, we still had bollocks all going forward.

We didn't play particularly better than the last couple of games.

Bloody hell what does it take to make people happy !!

Who said i wasn't happy? I'm very glad we won, but we were anything but threatening up front. We had the bit of luck that's escaped us recently. Being happy doesn't mean taking leave of my senses.

Delighted with that win. Terrible tension watching Soccer Saturday until the result came in.

PieEater Does this prove we'd be a decent side if the liability Pearce wasn't picked?

Queue Adkins picking him for the next game and dropping Cooper.

Not be too pedantic ... but surely u mean cue not queue!? :D

 that is shameful

now where's that next OSH

Super result under any circumstances.....though it's really put a spanner in the hordes demanding the managers head on a stick.
So pleased for Jake Cooper especially.
Young team findings it way will often be inconsistent so fully expect Birmingham to help out the negative posters again.

There are some absolute oxf*rd supporting this club of ours! Jesus Christ get a grip of yourself!

In our current climate I'd rather win ugly and ugly we have.

Wins breed confidence... Follow it up on Saturday please.

Play well and lose - it's the result that matters :!:
Play badly and win - it's the performance that matters :!:

Only 37% possession and an away win. It's just like old times. :D

I thought before these last 2 aways that I'd settle for 2 points from Cardiff & Norwich.

Btw great to see Wolves on such a fine run at the moment.

Not seen anything about the match, but considering Cooper got both goals, I'm guessing they weren't scored following some beautiful flowing moves using the Adkins passing game?

I ain't miserable, and I realise we won. Just wondered if we've turned a corner and won playing the Adkins way, or scored from a couple of set pieces with the rest of the game the same utter crap from the last few months.

Watching the stream thought we started slowly and yet again Gunter couldn't stop the cross coming in and we went behind. Regrouped well though and got a goal back quickly through the impressive Cooper who also looked very comfortable at the back. Thought Williams, McCleary and Obita all lost a bit in midfield so we couldn't control the game from a possession point of view and HRK offered nothing throughout on the right.

Defended pretty solidly second half and saw the game out well without really looking like scoring apart from a near Ruddy howler. Distribution at the back was sooo much better as both Cooper and Hector kept looking for the ball and were useful with it meaning we were happy to play it out from goal kicks. Think we just about deserved he three points and a very useful result considering recent form so hopefully they can pick up a few now with Bolton and B'ham next. URZ
