Ascotexgunner
Royal Lady And funny how Gunter seems to do ok playing on the RIGHT for Wales. Get him on the left and you'll see a vast improvement imo.

I disagree with that. He does "ok" at times but in the recent campaign he could easily have cost Wales. He was "average" against Andorra and had good cover in front of him v Belgium, and Cyprus spent more time going down the middle.

I've actually got completely muddled there - but you know what I mean.

Adkins now down to 3/1 (2nd favourite) to be next Championship Manager to leave (with BetVictor, if interested)

Dolan coming in will be worth a punt. It'll be the cheap option! As much as I like him and actually favour him coming in, he'll be expected to perform miracles, fail miserably, as I suspect anyone else will under the circumstances, and the fans will push him out within 18 months. I'd love a tenner on that.

Genuinely think that he'd also have patience from the fans

I can accept the odd mauling here or there with a team of largely younger players, if Dolan is manager

Got on him at 16/1 a couple of weeks ago. Just hope Hyppia can hold on for a bit longer.

He also knows the younger players better than anyone, which is handy as that's probably all he'll have to work with.

There's a lot of people posting emotionally without engaging their brain at the moment.

RL seems to be implying Gunter would be good if played on the right, where he's been utter gash. I may be misunderstanding her.

Froomes complaining about the lack of game time for Kuhl and Tanner, both of whom have been injured and both of whom are competing for a place with the two bright sparks we have in Cox and Norwood.

Mmmmonster saying we're getting worse in all departments when not long ago we were conceding 3 goals in virtually every game and bar the birmingham debacle (one game isn't a trend) we'd conceded 4 in the last 5.

People cried for Adkins to sort out the defence. Drop Pearce, play Cooper. He does this. He drops Cox to beef up midfield, it helps defensively. People want Cox back in. He does it, we lose 6-1. People call for Obita on the wing. People call for Obita at fullback.

The totally incoherant messages from HNA show there are simply no easy answers to our problems. We've got a squad with holes in, injuries and recovered players who aren't back at their previous level.

We're bumbling along badly, but there's a ridiculous hysteria about how bad things actually are. Just stop, breathe and try and be calm and rational for a bit. It's really not that bad. Football is full of ups and downs. Its not tge ebd of tge world even if it does miraculously become tge disaster so many seem to think it is.

You seem to be cherry picking your arguments there Ian, you and the other Adkinistas seem to think Adkins is perfect to bring the youth through, where in actual fact he's used them as an absolute last result.

I don't think that is true.

But I'm not sure it matters seeing as you seem to have a different idea about what bringing the youth through means. I expect him to trust them to play when the opportunity arises and give them time off the bench when possible.

I don't expect him to pick them ahead of s more seasoned pros for the sake of it.

I think there have been several occaisions when Adkins has brought on a youngster he didn't need to make a sub for. Or has played ahead of a more senior player. Or has strengtherned the squad in another area trusting them to be ready if necessary.

It's happening less as the injured senior players come back and since we've had this bad run. But that should be expected.

Just pointing out the two people you picked to criticise for lack of games were really stupid examples given their positions and injuries.

I would recommend Adie Viveash. You probably don't know he's ex-Reading and has been doing a fantastic job with our youth side.

Adie Viveash has the most pointless job in football.

Would only accept him leaving if we had a decent manager lined up. If we appoint a hoofball merchant (Brian, Pulis) then this is a mistake.
