Surely it's Eamon Dolan and end of thread?

It can't possibly be anyone else, Dolan is the easiest, cheapest, most available potential. Plus it makes sense as he knows the club, he's already here, has decent knowledge of the players and the current situation.

I can't see why the club would be seeking to recruit a new manager and hunt around or approach someone else.

That sounds ideal, but for the life of me I can't think of any examples. Can anyone think of a manager who has recently lost his job who would fit that description?

WBA were about 7-8th when they gave him the boot weren't they? He had just come off the back of a draw at Stamford Bridge which should have been a win if not for an horrendous dive by Ramires in injury time IIRC.

Nah, Brian was pretty dreadful for our young players once he became first team manager. Even the likes of Karacan, Pearce and McCarthy weren't automatic selections.

Dolan seems like the obvious choice. Maybe Parky but i would like to see Dolan given the role. Brian and Brendan worked their way up it seems to be natural progression.

Not really too thrilled about Clarke being favourite. Always thought he was given a hard time at West Brom but lets face it he did so well that season coz of Lukaku. As for someone saying he retired, i heard him on talksport the other day. He wants to come back. Its coming up to his one year mark and he said he was itching to get back.

Sherwood would be very interesting i think it would be a good fit but Pulis is too big for us. And he always wears that hat.

I saw Paul Inces name on sky bet as 25/1 i think. That made me laugh. My favourite one was Jimmy Kebe!!
