Based on what? As I posted earlier, he won 8 of his first 13 league games at West Brom with Hodgson's squad, then only 8 of the next 41 games before he was sacked.

He would be very wise not to win us promotion this year with Adkins's squad, as it wouldn't be down to him.

Not really sure what point you're making, but a sample of over 50 games is a decent one.

I think promotion is off the cards for this season - goal surely just has to be to stabilise, add players who will fit his style in January, and win more games than we lose before the end of the season.

I had a dream about Steve Clarke last night. He was very cheerful and laughed a lot, and his small bald head made it look like he was a baby.

Clarke has achieved nothing of note in management so far ad is a very dour character - hardly a positive motivator - whereas Brian took us to Wembley and got us promoted.

Um, McDermott was actually very dour himself, and his motivation method wasn't to rant and rave, but to encourage and talk to the players in a calm manner. Steve Coppell also quiet, yet our best manager to date. You make a weak arguement for being underwhelmed, especially when Clarke has Premier League experience and some excellent connections in the game!

Better coach than manager, but then from the shambles we are currently in, a decent coach would have to be the priority. Maybe Hammond will do all the "manager" stuff, and let SC concentrate on the training ground? Let's face it, NH does already seem to do a lot of the manager's duties anyway, so makes sense.

Three things:
- I'd argue that 7th in Prem with W.Brom is 'something of note' - Also W19, D14, L26 isn't bad in the Prem with a team like W.Brom
- Dolan has achieved less(/nothing) in management
- Dour? You mean like Coppell..? Hm..

I have a silly idea................. why dont we give the man who has top english experience in playing and coaching, a record in the prem thats not to be ashamed of with a relegation candidate and extremly keen to prove a point in management a chance!?

Dour English is bad enough but dour Scottish is a completely different thing altogether.

Dolan might have achieved nothing but he is one of our own as far as I am concerned.
