Sheff Weds (h) prediction thread

by floyd__streete » 28 Jan 2015 13:17

Game against a team we have struggled against the last couple of year, a side who are above us in the table (most teams are).

I'd be happy with a draw. Can't see us fluking another clean sheet.

1-1.

Important game or fans will begin to turn if we slide further down the table.
2-1 win.

Another poor performance resulting in defeat and the gradual realisation that sacking Adkins was dealing with the symptoms, rather than the disease itself.

Should make it even more embarrassing for Clarke to have to trot out the traditional end of transfer window 'I'm happy with the squad I've got'.

My heart says 1-1, but my head says we'll lose 0-3.

We have so much unrealised potential within our team, and every weekend I tune in to the radio broadcast with high expectations, only to have those hopes cruelly dashed. We have some of the best individual players in the league (and a few duff ones, sure) but they don't seem to gel together as a team. We still can't score very often lately, or beat teams that only have 10 players :o , but at least the leaky defence is better than it was before Christmas. Wednesday have some new blood, including Will Keane. They could easily be dangerous enough to score three past us.

I went to the 1-0 defeat in Sheffield in September, and although they were lucky to win, it was dire from both sides. They are a very defensive team as you can tell from their goals for and against this season. We don't have much more chance of scoring than they do though.

0-0

Stonewall 0-0 draw or 0-1. In 27 league games Sheff Wed has scored the great total of 21 goals and conceded only 23.

Two very tight sides, so obviously a 3-2 or 3-3

Will Keane is terrible. To give you some perspective;

Will Keane: 22 yrs old
15 apps / 0 Goals.
14 of those apps being in the Championship for QPR and Wigan. 1 For Man Utd.

Nathaniel Chalobah: 20 yrs old
79 apps / 8 goals.
70 of those being in the Championship where the 8 goals were also scored.

In summary, Chalobah is a better striker than Keane, even though he plays as a defensive midfielder....
