Sutekh
Silver Fox Stop crying FFS! We went down that year because we chased the game against Fulham twice, everyone knows that. Oh and lolz @ making changes out of fear

I thought it was because we failed to score another couple of goals at Derby which, as it turned out on the day, we could easily have done had Mr Coppell realised the situation from the outset.

We needed 3 more.

But yeah, you really have to wonder, don't you, why Coppell didn't plan to win 7-0 away.

Yet again we don't play and results go our way, the way the bottom 3 are going we'll only need 1 more win and we still have Blackpool to play who, on today's showing have completely given up.

Wigan need to win half their games to overtake us whilst we have to lose 9 on the bounce... Relegation is becoming more and more unlikely :)

Leeds could do us a big favour tonight.

Huddersfield could help again on Saturday

Lose both or DL and Fulham will be squeaking

A Wigan win wouldn't be a disaster as it pegs back Bolton

18 Charlton v Reading
19 Blackburn v Brighton
20 Huddersfield v Fulham
21 Rotherham v Sheff Wed
===================
22 Wigan v Bolton
23 Brentford v Millwall
24 Blackpool v Leeds

Two excellent results for Reading FC, tonight

Wigan have a slim but genuine chance now and Fulham are close to imploding

(50) Bracketed points are projections at 1, 1.5, 2 points per game

If RFC win just one game, Wigan would need more than 1.5 points per game to catch us

16 38 -11 44 (51) (55) (59) Bolton
17 38 -17 44 (51) (55) (59) Huddersfield
18 37 -18 44 (51) (55) (59) Reading

19 38 -04 42 (49) (53) (57) Brighton
20 38 -19 40 (48) (52) (56) Rotherham
21 38 -20 40 (48) (52) (56) Fulham
============================================
22 38 -17 34 (42) (46) (50) Wigan
23 38 -31 32 (40) (44) (48) Millwall
24 38 -48 22 (30) (34) (38) Blackpool

I'd prefer Wigan to go down but if Fulham go down on goal difference to me, it would be hilarious, maybe I just can't get that chip off my shoulder.

For someone who quotes numbers a lot, you really are incredibly sloppy with your work. Check the points projections and get them right next time (notably ours).

Would love Fulham to go down. I will never forget their fans singing, 'We'll never play you again' during their brief moment of glory under Tigana and funded by Al-Fayed.

Millwall, Wigan and Reading remaining games

Millwall

Brentford (a)
Charlton (h)
Blackburn (a)
Watford (h)
Cardiff (a)
Derby (h)
Wolves (a)

Looking at that lot I reckon Millwall will be definitely relegated, most likely after visiting Cardiff

Wigan

Bolton (h)
Middlesbrough (a)
Derby (h)
Fulham (a)
Millwall (a)
Brighton (h)
Wolves (h)
Brentford (a)

Wigan's problem is their dreadful home form, away from home they're reasonably useful. I would estimate 12/13 points at very best from the above which will give a total of 46/47 points

Reading

Charlton (a)
Cardiff (h)
Blackpool (a) - quite possibly the game that will see Blackpool relegated
Blackburn (h)
Bournemouth (h)
Birmingham (h)
Brentford (h)
Rotherham (a)
Derby (a)

So basically if the Wigan statement holds true it's fairly likely another win could well see Reading safe, so onward to The Valley and hopefully we may at last be able to stop worrying about the possibility of any relegation.

Recently Wigan are winning everything away and could easily win at Millwall and Fulham the latter might even be the relegation decider

But they will do brilliantly to get more than two points from Borough-Brentford away and home to Derby looks like a defeat (tho' Derby are sliding a bit)

BUT if they win at Fulham) they will close today's gap to just 3 points and a better GD and Fulham may well bottle it. But they will do well to get 7 points away (including Fulham) as they have those two promotion-chasers. But just one home win with that or three draws would mean Fulham will need 5 points from 7 games and that's not guaranteed.

That'll learn those pcunts for spunking all that money on Ross McCormack. Reckon if they do go down we'd be able to take Patrick Roberts off their hands? Seems to have gone under the radar a bit this season.
