Lacoste Guy on BBCRB just said he things Steve Clarke could be the next Steve Coppell.

Are our fans the most uneducated fans in football?

Caller - Clarke is the next SC
Adie - Do you think that Adkins should have lost his job?
Caller - Yes
Adie - Adkins had a better record than Clarke
Caller - yeah but but but erm ahem

After which Ady Williams said he thought Adkins deserved to lose his job and he thought that Clarke deserves more of a chance.

But sure, I'll take the word of a Floyd wannabe over someone who has played over 400 games for the club...

But Williams won't have anything said against the directors and their decisions whilst his great mate Madejski is still around! Gooding, on the other hand is far less supportive of the Mad Regime. Perhaps he still remembers how the Reading Way let him and Jimmy Quinn down.

Lacoste Second part is spot on - a good manager would get back to basics and pick up some results by hook or by crook,

I'm more interested in long term development than 3 points in a meaningless game. Jem wants a new contract. Cox believes he deserves to start. Fine. Then prove why. No passengers next season.

Is that 27minutes in without a single effort toward goal, let alone on target? Are they getting the sun loungers in order?

Oh 28 mins and Pog misses!

RoyalBlue And the normal trend continues.......... 4 shots so far and not one on target! What the f*ck do the manager and coaching team have them doing in training? They're certainly not spending that time on deadball situations either!

That's 4 shots for Rotherham...we have just mustered a shot (off target) only taken 30mins...URRRZ...

Thats a fair comment - anyone out of contract needs to now be making a case for a new one, and justifying the £ they want. If they dont like it then there are plenty more willing to take their place.

Has anybody stopped to think that maybe this was always going to be the case when the Thai's took over.
Maybe they told Clarke from the outset that his main task was to keep us in this league but come the summer it is to completely rebuild. Maybe they want the high earners off of the books and he was aware of all this when he took the job?
If that were the case then although he got too close to comfort with relagation then maybe it is understandable that he is tinkering. I have this feeling that he knows already some who are going but has to decide on maybe another 4 or 5.
I think we are in for a hell of a ride over the summer but i have to hang on to the belief that the owners do want us to be successful if no other reason than to pay for all this investment in Bearwood and the Academy.
Steve Clarke should not be sacked.
let him get this summer done and see what happens next season. If it is going to be a mass cull then what is the point of bringing in another?
Its time Reading fans realised we are not Real Madrid, top top managers or coaches are not queing up to come here.
You may consider the likes of Mourinho, Van Gaal, Klopp etc great managers but i gaurantee none of them would touch a job where they couldnt buy success.
Be grateful we have a manager who has played and plied his trade at the top level.
Get behind him.
The players have let us down this season and to me the FA cup and particularly the Semi proved it so. Same players, same Manager, same formation but a totally different attitude on the pitch!
