Final pre-season analysis/thoughts: we have a team which struggled to find the net last season and - as things stand - we don't seem to have done enough to rectify that. A finish of between 8th-14th should be the bare minimum to ensure Clarke is still in his job this time next year.

I'd take a cup run and finishing in 15th.

I prefer the various cup competitions to the league really.

I'd accept 16th or above, but with clear signs of significant improvement with relatively minor changes for the next season.

Only one game in but doesn't sound like we have addressed any of our problems or improved anything. So I guess my expectations are pretty low - lacking in goals, no genuinely creative players, a series of draws and defeats with the usual "we deserved more" apologies, broken up by the odd narrow victory. We'll be safe but there is no way this team or manager is going to come close to challenging for promotion.

I certainly come away from the game yesterday feeling negative. Given the complete shake up from top to bottom. It's a new beginning. Didn't strike me a team heading for relegation. Mid table maybe.

That's a bit harsh. We have definitely made improvements although there are still things that need to be addressed. We genuinely deserved to win the game comfortably, not just saying it. We created more than usual on Saturday but still could have done more, especially first half.

The new players that have come in have made us stronger than we were last season, but there is still more needed. We need a winger (looks like were getting one) and preferably a creative central attacking midfield player. Also could do with another striker.
