Personally I think his best position is as a striker but is distain for passing to his teammates is terrible. You could accept it from Nicky Forster with his goalscoring record (although he normally preferred to dribble it out of play that pass it to a teammate) but from a player with no goalscoring record like Blackman in a struggling side it looks very contemptous. If I was Clarke I would hold a half way line shooting session in the stadium and put Blackman in the South stand on ball boy duty and make him collect everyone's undoubtably wayward attempts.

haha well before I take such drastic action... I didn't say anything about Forster's assists record and to use an extreme comparison I reckon Garath Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo probably have a lot of assists too and I would argue they are both selfish players and rightly so!

I think you are reiterating my point. When you set up (and of course score) that many goals who is going to get upset with you for being selfish. Nicky Forster was entitled to be. Nicky Blackman really isn't...

As posted elsewhere have never been his greatest fan BUT he really put a shift in on Tuesday, full of running, tackling back and involved throughout the game - thought I had mixed him up with Williams on a couple of occasions and was close to being our best player on the night
