Platypuss Well that merge went wrong.

Sorry CS - might need to re-add the poll thread and I'll merge them the right way round next time.

Platy for next manager. Similar levels of ineptitude as Clarke so should spot right in.

*just joking

*youd make a terrible manager

Hasselbaink could be a great option.

But I still want Ancelotti.

Sanguine Out of interest CS, why a no to McDermott? He'd be in my top 3.

Likable chap, did well here, but I wouldn't want his reputation tarnished by returning to what is a very different club, under very different owners (perhaps more cut-throat, expectant, more pressure).

I think we need someone more no nonsense, a bit like Clarke in that respect; not a yes man.

CountryRoyal Switch JFH with Mick McCarthy and I agree with your yes camp

Not a fan of Big Mick, m8?

Not particularly m9.

He's alright but I just felt we should have a black guy in the mix otherwise Jason Roberts will report us to the UN.

Perhaps the club should let Jim and Mick finish the job that Mark McGhee started....

What a totally ridiculous situation this is!
Just four months ago Clarke brings in a completely new 'back room team' and 12 new players, and now he looks set to go. What price is there on a contract these days, and loyalty to a club. If he wants to go, when the club have backed him so much, then good riddance!
Nigel Pearson for me.

Agree with all of that. Pearson has a pretty good track record and has achieved much more at manager level than Clarke.

Didn't Pearson punch Matt Mills? if that is correct then yes, yes and 3 times yes. Anyone who punches Mills should get a medal of some sort.

Tim Sherwood would be a great choice IMHO

Unfairly sacked at both Spurs and Villa

It wasn't long ago he also asked for the board's and fans backing to help him achieve what he wants to here... and then he walks... Must be something about fat scottish people..

"F**k off Stevie Clarke, oh what can it mean..."
