RG7Fan Of course the elephant in the room that no-one has mentioned is the goal scorers:

Piazon
Vydra
Fernandez

What do they all have in common ...

They all have great hair?

They are all types of woodburning stoves released by woodburning stove manufacturer Stovax & Gatco

They're all much maligned unnecessarily?

Personally i think they're adequate stoves.

CountryRoyal You can count if you like I'd place a large wager that there is not 600+ fans there.

There's approximately 20 rows that are approximately 50 seats long and I'd say it's fair to estimate that they're 60% full

I can't believe I've replied

Jano Nicely timed image capture there just missing off the two defenders coming over - Vydra didn't have the ball completely under control

Yeah - because he was fouled!

And as the nearest covering defender couldn't have stopped Vydra from getting a shot away (if he hadn't been fouled  ) - red card.

Extended-Phenotype I saw that

The notable traits of a troll were seeking out sensitive issues where people were more likely to give an emotional response, provoke said emotional response, and then mock the emotional response.

If the response was reasoned and rational, make out the response was emotional and mock it. Usually leading to a genuine emotional response.

Sounds very familiar.

Good result last night, nice to be in the next round! As previously mentioned we were so poor for the first 20 mins and lucky not to be 3-4 down. After that we exploited the man advantage well, unlike previous managers!

Still not convinced by Vydra, he needs to show that quality more often. But a step in the right direction. Cooper looked shaky until they had a man off and Huddersfield weren't able to press so high, the high pressing was causing him problems on the ball.

No way was there 600 Huddersfield fans!!

LOL at Williams control of a throwing handing the ball straight back to Huddersfield!

They're all loan players and unlikely to be here next year ...

Ok I know its easy to say that about permanent players given how football works at the moment.

Not sure what it really proves to be honest. (1) - we don't have that many goal scorers in the permanents? (2) - despite being loanees they're still playing well and showing commitment to the club (well - their wage packet)?

I think we'd all prefer it if the goals were coming from players on long term contracts though, people who we could cash in on if necessary.

Scutterbucketz Just seen the highlights. That was a very harsh sending off. I know we'd all be pissed off if it had been reversed.

Not really - he trird to pull him back, was the last defender, prevented a clear goalscoring opportunity - that's a red card. It only has to be a foul, he doen't need to assault him.

Agree - he pulled his shoulder back, even if ever so slightly, but its a pull by the last man in a goal scoring opportunity. Red card.

Looks about right to me, if you consider each side of the South holds about 2000. Even if it's not 600... that's still a good effort

I watched the highlights on BBC on line and froze the video as the ball was knocked forward for the first Huddersfield goal. The position of the back four was that of a Sunday pub team after a heavy Saturday night :) Cooper is 20 yards deeper than the last man, Ferdinand is in midfield, Gunter is on the right wing somewhere and Taylor is way over on the left. No wonder Nahki Wells looks like a $10m striker every time he plays against us.

And the scary thing is that's typical of how they played for most of that first half.

I'm not sure they were so disorganised but I think you have to give credit to Huddersfield for the pressure they applied all over the pitch. They made us look so laboured and lethargic and second to just about every ball. We were also as pedestrian as they were rampant.

That pressure totally threw us and I guess we just got pulled out of position all over the pitch as a result.

Huddersfield were excellent in that period to be fair and Wells is very good at playing on the last man when the back four get out of sync. He did the same in the league game when Obita got too deep. It was only a couple of yards but that was enough.
We really need a far more solid base than we currently have if we're going to kick on. I wonder if the holding midfielder role (Hector at Hull) is earmarked for our new signing as a means of addressing that.

What I noticed was that so many passes were intercepted or blocked by Huddersfield. They were so energetic and committed to pressing high up the pitch that we just couldn't get any passing going at all.

I guess that comes at a cost though - press high and leave space at the back. Yet overtime we got possession we carried on trying to play a neat passing game that just got closed down. The worry is it took going two goals down and being a man up before we could find any answer to this.

We were being totally undone tactically, as we were for much of the MK game (although MK were nowhere near as good at it as Huddersfield). This has to be a worry.

lol.i cant believe I actually started counting. got to 300 by about half way.
id say 600 odd is about perfect.

like I said, its hard to estimate numbers in a dispersed crowd.
