Tshibola and Evans could make an interesting combination. Both seem a bit more like all rounders, from what I've seen, or in Evans case - read. Obviously Norwood's undroppable at the moment though and Williams not far behind.

3-5-2

Cooper
Ferdinand
McShane

Quinn
Evans
Norwood
Tish
Williams

Vydra
Kermorgant

That would do nicely.

I wouldn't want Williams anywhere near wing back. He's too committed to bursting forward and defensively he's weak. Let alone positionally in an unfamiliar role.

And where's McCleary!?

Plus any injury / suspension in midfield and you have to change shape.

good evening all Walsall fan here.
hope you don't mind me posting on your thread.

just wanted to say that you have a great lad with the signing of George evans.
I do not know him personally but he has made a huge impact at Walsall and he will be a great loss to us but hopefully a huge gain for you.

he has the ability to change a game with his possession and clever play will shoot from distance is very unselfish and develops the front line into decent attacks.

please look after him we were never going to compete with the wages but I'm glad hes gone to you over Brentford.

looking forward to the match next week should be a good game.
were a good side on our day and hopefully whoever becomes the winner I hope we get a good 5th round draw.
I know were not much of a catch and we were hoping for a premiership team away but if both teams make the most of it will be a good spectacle.

good luck for the remainder of the season and hope you finish well above Brentford.
see you next saturday

Thanks for the insight WS, all sounds good..... There's some optimism about our recent acquisitions

Enjoy your visit next week, history says that the result will be yours and it's about time that we finally get to beat you...but who knows, you've been having a decent season and sucess breeds confidence.

Thanks for the info Wednesburysaddler, i have a good feeling about this transfer and cannot wait to see what he can do in a Reading shirt. This is exactly the type of player we should be buying, and molding the team for the future. Whats with the dislike for Brentford anyway?

well to be honest I was very polite on their messageboard and they tore into me

they are so arrogant they've been in the champ one year and they think theyre premiership bound.

our manager went there which shit happens doesn't it but in his 5 years at club this was first season we looked a team.

were only small on small gates live in the shadows of the big midlands clubs but were passionate fans and we care

Brentford were the most uncharming arrogant set of people ive tried to speak to.

in the end I gave up and I almost want them to fail now although I know its only a minority

Yeah, lost all respect for them during the Warburton fiasco.

as your club are aware you have to build for years to get anywhere near the premiership and you have to build slowly.
its difficult to fork out 7 figure sums for players and huge wages when you have much bigger clubs in the champ.
they just think they'll sail through and will be playing in prem in 2 years.
I wish them luck but I think theyre only a lower half team based on what I saw and they have smaller crowds compared to some.
you ought to sign up and read some of the rubbish that is spouted.
id prefer level heading thinking people who appreciate if a team has been outplayed them like we did in 3rd round.

anyway as I said George evans is just the sort of player that will relish playing in your side hes a true gentleman
he came and sat with us at the bury match which speaks volumes.

Yeah, in fairness, their lads looked the most likely to kick off when they came to us a short while ago. So your comments don't surprise me in the least wednesbury. What is it with some teams? Opposing fans make the effort to engage and socialise, only to be met with arrogance. Ah well, should receive a warmer welcome on here, mate. And here's to a good game next week.

thanks that's very much appreciated.

can I ask one question

is it easy to get from the train station to the ground.
weve plenty of time as train gets in just after 1 but is there a shuttle bus service and how often does it run?
and after match is it difficult to get back with crowds or do they put more on?

Are you confusing them with Bristol City fans? Wasn't at the Brentford game but would be surprised if their fans were kicking off.

Living between Brentford and Fulham a sense of entitlement sounds more like Fulham and thuggish behaviour sounds like neither.

You will be fine, plenty of buses going to and from the stadium

There is no frequency, they just load up constantly and go, if it's busy they load 2 or 3 at a time. If you want a beer you're best drinking in the centre then getting the bus (although the Good Old Boy bar is worth a visit at the ground if you like your real ale). The bus is the F1 and goes from Station Hill outside the station (to the right), it costs an outrageous £4.00 return, you need to be there by about 2:30pm latest to (load and) make the game.

Switch with Tish, and McCleary is injured. It wasn't serious a serious suggestion anyway but that midfield 5 would be ridiculous.

Generally that may well be the case, leon. However, I understand there was an incident, back in the day, when a Reading lad was put into a coma (bus station) by the Fulem crew.

LOL @ Fulham being threatening. They are the only club more middle class than us.
