howser I think it was Howe that said McDermott was the outstanding candidate for the job, jeez there must have been some right dross that applied for it if thats the case ............

Yes all the masturbating on here when messiah Brian came back..still feel the same lads?

Yeah, still pretty glad he's back. Have felt better about pretty much every game since his return. This has been a low point, but football teams lose games sometimes. Still think we'll finish 12-15th which is an improvement on last year.

All hail the messiah

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

Sutekh Another pile of cack away from home. One shot on target was it?

Cheap option Reading getting just desserts at the moment.

Except for equalling our club record, agreed, cheap options all round. :|

Can't disagree with this. Shipping out SA and the Dennis signing screams that we're in for one hell of a ride.

Yet a considerable underachievement of the objectives set out at the beginning of the season.

You don't sign Matej Vydra hoping to finish 12-15th.

As I always said with Clarke when he took over, it's not his squad, his job right now is to take us to the end of the season and we can properly rebuild in the summer.

This.
I dont know how people can blame Brian for this. Its not his team and hes picked up a right mess of a squad.

All narrowly, at home, including against two of the worst teams in the division.

In that case none of them count.

Not saying they don't count you bellend.

Or are you actually that stupid that you don't get the significance of that?

We were a minute away from a reasonably decent point. We lost to a pretty decent team. It happens sometimes in football. We've had far worse results this season which have cost us.

I'm confident Brian will deliver us success here whether that takes one year, two years, three years, That's what we've got to commit too.

Things are rarely as good or as bad as they seem. Hopefully we'll beat Wolves on Saturday and have a decent cup run.

No matter how to look at this season so far has not been good. It's not been good enough to maintain a top 6. The summer singing now apparent were mostly the owners choice and not good enough for the Championship. Clarke and Fulham-gate . Taking the shortcut of too many loan signings, too many to play on the pitch. The owners signing of the Latvian chap over Washington. Been a fan for more then 30 years but I can only see this club fire fighting desperate to hold on to a recent past. All a bit depressing with hindsight.

Longhorn1970 theres shag all wrong with the squad

I used to think that but I'm starting to change my mind

We make so many individual errors and poor choices that can't be the fault of 3 successive managers (admittedly Adkins and Clarke monumentally underperformed with theirs). Just look at McCleary again today, waiting too long and screwing up a 2v1 that any other team would have put away

We could do with a clear out of some of these players (HRK, McCleary etc)

Calm down sonny. We're struggling and have been for some time. I don't need some pants wetter having a tantrum every game. We're throwing away too many points when in decent positions. We need to fix that and we'll be fine.

And less of the shitty language.

Our wingers/wide players are so disappointing.

Exactly.

You can't lay too much blame on a manager for wingers consistently putting in lame crosses and/or failing to clear the first man. That's just plain rubbish
