If they're attacking us with 'Tinpot', I suggest we refrain from the 'Clockwork Clowns' desciption of their team that we might use given their own supporters description of them, as such, in the past. After all, as RFC fans, we are above that sort of thing. Oh bugg*r, we've lost a player again. Forget I spoke.

Does anyone know the rules about challenging the red card ban that Blackett has got, after the match?

That's never a red card in a million years.

The big clubs always get those sort of decisions.

I thought the McCleary was harsh but don't think that one is harsh. Is trailing leg planted straight into the Brighton player studs first.

The other tackle from the Brighton player moments before was a yellow at most, Comes through from behind but mostly gets the ball with minimal clearing out of the player in any dangerous fashion.

Hmmm, he does seem to slip but has that ever been seen as an excuse when referees make decisions?

F8Ck the arseholes at the FA and their respect when their tosser refs produce decisions like that.

The initial challenge from the Brighton player was every bit as bad - in no way was that a controlled challenge.

Can see why the Ref sent him off but can't work out why he didn't blow for the tackle from behind by the Brighton player just before Blackett's tackle.

He doesn't have to contact the player for it to be a red card offence. His challenge was completely uncontrolled and could have caused serious injury - there would have been no way of avoiding hitting a player.

Hang on, what? He doesn't have to contact the player, but there was no way of avoiding hitting the player? What!?

Yeah the two tackles seem identical, only the second one resulted in the Brighton player rolling around and Blackett getting a red card

Sounded like we were gonna knock in 2 or 3 as well, very frustrating. People like to be apathetic toward the League Cup but this is a chance to reach the 4th Round, I think we've only gone beyond that once in our history? Be gutted to lose from here

Blackett won't be a huge miss with Obita to come in, can't see them overturning the 3 game ban as it's just too subjective with limited camera footage

If we manage to win tonight, shall we just get someone sent off in tunnel before every game.....

+1. The tackle didn't look too good and was directly in front of the ref immediately after an innocuous challenge on a Royals player. It was studid rather than malicious. It is a clumsy 2-footed challenge with outstretched legs and looks rash.

What limited camera footage? It's been captured perfectly on Sky?

Yeah but you've not got the slow-mo multiple angles that you get when they overturn these sort of decisions in the Premier League, it's hard to conclusively say on that one angle that that is not a red card
