Today sees the short trip up the M4 to the smoke to see what should be classed as derby match. Eighty four league games between the two sides down the years yet despite this, and the reasonable distance between the two teams, the only real thing of any note is a pointless niggle on who has the right to play in hoops.
As for to today's game, Rangers have injuries to both left backs; Jake Bidwell and Jack Robinson plus one time Reading loanee Jamie Mackie.
Jordan Cousins is expected to start ahead of Yeni Ngbakoto on the right side of midfield.
Other than that they have no injuries or suspensions from what I can see
Reading are at full strength, with only Williams a slight doubt as he only returned from international duty on Thursday, as Blackett is back from suspension and Cooper and Meite are back after injury although tis game is too early for them to feature.
Bit of a cr@p league record against QPR recently. Reading have 1 win in 8 having lost 3 and drawn 4 of the other games in that time.
Full league record at their place is 11 wins and 12 draws from 42 visits. 72 goals have been conceded while replying with a rather meagre 41.
Best goal tally there is the 6 put past them in August 1961 which was revenge for the 5 we let in there the season before that.
Evening Post predicted line ups :
QPR: Smithies, Onuoha, Hall, Caulker, Perch, Henry, Cousins, Luongo, Borysiuk, Chery, Poulter.
Reading: Al-Habsi, Gunter, Moore, McShane, Obita, Williams, van den Berg, Swift, Beerens, McCleary, Kermorgant.
