it is true that fans of the previous twenty years have been ( by and largely) spoilt, compared to (us) fans of the twenty years previous to those.madstadblues I hear lots of stuff about Reading being boring which I totally disagree with (this season). Anybody who understands football will see it is totally down to how the opposition set themselves up to counter our tactics that makes us look boring. We did exactly the same in the PL against Manchester United in 2007 in when Kitson got sent off.
In my opinion we are on a journey to better things although it can be a bit painful sometimes - to better things. The problem is the most vocal fans have no idea and are a victim of FIFA, ''I want it now success' and not experiencing where we have actually come from in the last 20 years ( and can't be arsed to get behind the team).

Hound Maybe some truth in that re: McCleary.
He did carry us a bit in an attacking sense first half of last year and scored plenty

Such a boring, pointless club. State of them.
Well I've just watched Millwall vs reading cup game, and I've got to say Millwall's defending was as comical as vales against Barnsley

In fairness, Port Vale may be the absolute highlight of interest locally.
