The Cap The way things are going at the mo', you really do have to wonder where our next point's coming from. Let alone win. How ominous could 14 April be?

We just drew with Forest and Derby, why would you be wondering where our next point is coming from? Wolves have been dropping plenty of points recently and we gave them a good game last time, Bolton have been shitter than us over the season so far and Leeds have had an abysmal 2018. We could get a draw against any of them. I think there's a pretty decent chance we can get somewhere between 2 and 6 points out of the next three games, I don't understand why you can't see where the next single point could come from.

Can't agree with the sentiment there, Ian.

First, altho we were OK at Forest (first half) (a team who were on a terrible run when we played them)
we were, apparently abject second half and should have lost.

Though we got that 3-3 v Derby (some decent attacking play) we were a joke at the back,
and it's that (being a joke in defence) that is the real worry.

But last night, criticisms like pub team DID apply. We were ridiculous in defence
and should have been 3-0 after ten minutes. It's true to say we could have ship 6-7
goals.

We LOOK LIKE a relegation side. No pattern, players are scared, misplaced passes,
no real fight or passion, too many injuries... IT's GETTING WORSE

That's why 7-1 or 9-1 (I saw last night at 11:30) is a very decent bet.

Maybe (MAYBE) we will get a surprise draw at Wolves, but if form applies and we lose
3-0, then lose 0-1 to Bolton (very, very possible) we will have thrown away a four point lead
been passed by Bolton, and maybe Hull and/or Barnsley.

ATM, at best, I could see us 4th bottom, but we have a team that's disintegrating IMO

Absolutely this.

People are talking about 4 point gap as if its 4-5 games from the end of the season.

Bolton have 15 points from their last 10 games
Bolton have 18 points from their last 12 games

Over the last 13 games Bolton have gained ten points more than us.

They should be favourites to beat us next week

That in itself shows how far we’ve sunk.

Disgraceful.

I've just realised

If I put a grand on Reading to go down

it guarantees they'll stay up!

Ginger Ninjas 7-1 to be relegated with most bookmakers. Don't think we'll go down, but those are fairly generous odds given our current (lack of) form.

You can get 9/1 elsewhere.

We're certainly in a relegation scrap, but I think we'll manage to stay up. I'd much rather be in our position than any of Sunderland, Burton, Barnsley, Hull, or Birmingham's.

We are bad, but nobody below us really looks a whole lot better.

We are sinking lower and lower every week. A win or two will obviously change that, but I'm not confident we can get them. Survival (just) is a hope rather than a belief, but there's nothing raising my spirits enough to get back to watching games under Stam's tactics!

You say that but we are in worse form than everyone else in the league. The only reason teams below us look worse than us is because they're below us...

Traditionally form is judged over 5/6 and 10/12 games.

In only one of those are we worse than everyone, 12 games. For 5 we're equally as bad as Sunderland. But 6 and 10 there's several teams we're in better form than. At least one of whom we play play shortly.

And of course, over the last 5/6 games we've not actually got any closer to bebeing relegated.

That is very true. Maybe I'm just optimistic, but the past few weeks have been horrendous and we're no closer to the relegation zone than before. Surely it can't get much worse than this. But no doubt about it, we're in a scrap for survival.

(Okay, re-reading that makes me think it definitely can and will get worse...)

bitten the bullet.

Judas bet places with 888 at 9s.

Feel dirty but has to be done in the current circumstances.

18th Bolton - 44
19th Reading - 44
20th Brum - 42
21st Hull - 40
--------------------------------------
22nd Barnsley - 38
23rd Burton - 31
24th Sunderland - 31

These things are always bullshit though because it's so hard to predict the unlikely results where the shit teams pick up points and the strong teams drop them. The gap between the best and worst is rarely as clean cut as perceived when predicting results. It seems extremely unlikely to me that a team will finish in 18th / 19th with less than 50 points. Or that the bottom two will barely get about 30, one of them maybe...

Basildon Stuck £20 on it a couple of weeks ago at 10/1. At the very least will soften the blow a little if it does happen.

I put 50 on but got ridiculed for it
