Great to see no McShane at all. Get the captaincy off him for good and get rid.

Somewhat positive after seeing the team and glad Clement has the balls to make big decisions. I do like McShane and he's done well for us but he unarguably is the reason we are on 1pt instead of 3 right now so deserved to be dropped and with the lack of creativity seen in the first few games, I think you've got to point the finger at Kelly so no surprises there either. Definitely a more physical presence in the midfield today, so I imagine we'll probably be relying on the wings to create the chances, not a bad decision considering how well Blackett and Yiadom have started the season.

Happier with this selection although would have had Swift in for Meyler. Interesting to see if McShane remains captain given that for now he is not in the match day squad.

Better side , but still expect Villa to be too strong for us, and the normal social media meltdown tonight. the real tests will be the 3 home games in the next 4. that will give us a better idea of where we stand when the table has taken shape.

Is there iFollow for this match? I found a VPN that actually works but I'm not familiar with the iFollow service and can't see where to get access.

"Top stats:

Villa have won 10 of their last 11 fixtures against Reading in all competitions."

Poor, poor reporting given we've won 2 of the last 3 meetings

Agreed basic stuff and inexcusable given these have been recent wins too

Except it says "Villa have won 10 of their last 11 home fixtures against Reading in all competitions", which they have so not poor reporting and completely excusable because it's correct.

And no ,they haven't subsequently changed it because it said that last night.

OK but my comment was based on the part in quotation marks just under the top stats bit.

Actually, I take it back, the Chronic have lifted the stat straight off the BBC, where I saw it and assumed it was from, and fcuked it up.

So once again we are level at half time. Not confident though given our track record under Clement in the second half of matches

Made it to HT. Phew.

Really need to not blow it in the first 10 minutes of the second half.

We can steal this.

First half record is decent this season - in fact we haven't conceded a goal....what's Clement saying at half time?
