Snowflake Royal
CountryRoyal Few times Sims has given it away cheaply now.

HIm and Loader haven't really added much. McNulty not really had much service.

It's all a bit more of the same.

I wouldn’t expect much different though.

McCleary toilet as well.

We are lucky.

Thought McCleary's done ok personally. Not great... but more involved and positive than the other forwards.

We look pretty toothless going forward. Genuinely unsure what the gameplan is- lots of crosses with no obvious target. A few decent breaks but the ball inevitably goes wide with no shot coming from the move. Set pieces seem the best bet - we were unlucky with the Bacuna to (Ilori?) near post one.

Equally Sheffield look hard to break down.

We really should look for an earlier through ball to McNulty... he's always on the shoulder looking for it and just getting a couple of yards between defenders. But we're so unaware and slow to look and pass.

I would like to see Loader playing as the main centre forward, McCleary behind him and McNulty back in League One . . . .

Crying out for at least one of Baldock or Barrow for Sims or Loader. If not both.

Really disappointed in Sims. You can see why he hasn't played more. So many elementary mistakes like easy passes and heavy touches going straight to the opposition.

Agree with some points, we're missing a target up front, definitely going to have more luck on the deck and with through balls but overall I thought that was a good half. Great to see Gunts going forward so much, McCleary looks hungry, Rino had a great half, Loader had a couple of great quick feet moments, happy with that.

Obvs reserve the right to change my opinion based on the first 5 mins after half time!

Sims so disapointing , cant seem t pass let alone beat players, think if we could run at them we could cause problems, bring on Barrow, get loader a bit further up , he is causing problems but is too deep

Nothing really happened so far, a few decent positions wasted

Few points:
1. Ilori and Blackett don't work together, whilst Blackett has impressed, Ilori has been really poor again and is missing Moore/McShane as his partner
2. Full backs and midfielders have done quite well
3. Wingers have flattered to deceive, McCleary has done OK but a few sloppy things, Sims has been atrocious
4. Strikers have worked hard but don't suit each other, McNulty makes decent runs but none of our midfielders can pick him out, there was one moment in the first half where Sims could have slipped him in, but he shot wildly

Bench is very small, so I'd consider Kelly and Aluko/Barrow for Sims and Loader

Kits saying we’re up there with one of the bluntest teams he’s seen.

Can’t say he’s wrong either.

Could we bring Kits on at halftime - even at his age he'd add something...

Hate to reopen the can... But we are calling out for a creative midfielder *cough* Swift *cough* to link the midfield to the strikers.

Yes he will give the ball away and look disinterested when out of possession, but that half shows what he offers.

Agree McNulty and Loader doesn’t work. Both need a targetman to play off. Going to be a real struggle to get anything whoever is supplying. Baldock might improve it a little being more experienced.

Now we have the post break malaise....

Most sides with their best four attacking players out look a bit blunt.

Don't think we look a whole lot blunter than the blades.

Fairly strong evidence Clement's HT talk wasn't putting them to sleep the way they've come out half asleep once again.
