Very pleased with Rafael, Joao and Pele in that they really fill quite obvious holes in the squad. Combined with Morrison, Miazga, Boye and Adam it's very good business.

Not sure about needing this guy as well. It's getting into the territory of restricting pathways for Academy players again.

I've been impressed with Barrett and Olise. Loader has plenty of potential too. Plus Holsgrove and Frost.

But with Meite, Barrow, Boye and then Puscas we're heading into territory of not much room for minutes for them. Especially if Swift moves forward to accommodate Pele.

I think we all are, but I like to think NH is an astude business man who knows what he is doing. unlike gormless. he wouldnt be throwing away money if it was going to tip us over the edge.

Well, we've not paid a fee for anyone bar Joao and, despite all the talk of £5-7m, apparently that's just £800,000 up front.

I also doubt the wages are that excessive. Despite the headline wages of star players in France and Italy, the average wages aren't that high. Torino's average is £24k/w, Sampdoria's £22k. Half on Monaco's squad is on less than £20k a week.

To put that into context, the average Championship wage is £25k per week.

If you're going to break FFP, break it by enough to mitigate the point deductions would be my thinking.

Puscas could be a great signing for this league, although it's a bit of a surprise. I suspect Loader, Olise and Barrett will still get chances in the squad if he comes. Baldock and Novakovich less so.

Impressed with the business that's been done today but all this talk about where the money is coming from makes me suspect someone is on their way out for a decent fee.
