I remember having major issues getting there in the league game back in 01/02 season, although;

a) it was midweek
b) it was pissing down with rain
c) we were running quite late
d) we forgot where we parked the car so it took us ages to get home as well

So bad experience but most of the blame could certainly be placed on us.

Well it depends on who comes in for him I guess. If you look at the Championship sides who could need a new manager there are some big ones out there. Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City are the two that stand out. Sheff Wed are a bit of a basket case of a club so it wouldn't be too wise going there imo and Bristol City would probably want more of a proven Championship promotion specialist such as Chris Hughton. Ainsworth has turned down 3 bigger clubs before in Barnsley, Sunderland and QPR so he is seemingly happy where he is, especially now after the promotion. Was close to getting the Reading job before Gomes too.

If I were him I would stay put and see how things go with Wycombe, he can't really lose. Hoping Wycombe get some extra financial investment now they have gone up and can at least get a couple of decent loan players in to help them out a bit.

I think they were one place outside them when the season ground to a halt. Because they then rejigged the league on point per game basis Wycombe benefitted because they had a game in hand and the way the maths worked they jumped up into the playoff spots.
Extreme circumstances, they had to find a way to approximate an even finish and the way they chose worked In Wycombe’s favour. It’s no more than a quirk and obviously us8ng the formula the league chose they did qualify legitimately for the PO’s but it will always be one of those where they didn’t actually do what was needed to qualify, they could easily have lost that game in hand whereas it was assumed they would get points.

Agree.....definate penalty....but it was an accident and tight, could it have been a clear goal scoring opportunity? Debatable.. Ref got it perfectly right, good decision. Wonder how many refs would have been flashing a red card?
