Zip This is a missed opportunity. Fulham are in poor form. They are bound to strengthen in January. I suspect they will be in a much better place when we do play them.

Poor form? They’ve lost once since October and currently top of the leagueFulham will be saying it’s a missed opportunity with the state of our form

Royal_jimmy We last played on December 11th so something isn't right. If we called the game off v Luton for Covid on the 15th then the squad should be out of isolation by now. This game should be on

EFL rules state you need a minimum of 14 players, incl. 1 keeper, who have started a league game for a game to go ahead.
We have had 32 players play in the 1st team this season but looking at the breakdown:
8 have never started a league game. So down to 24.
At last count we had 10 out injured, but let's say there are 8 out. 16 available now.
So if 3 players from that 16 are unavailable because they have it or aren't fully vaxxed and having to isolate due to infection either inside or outside the group, game off.
To be honest, looking at the numbers, it's a minor miracle we hadn't had any called off earlier.
Going to be a busy '22. As if we beat Kidderminster, that will be 4 games to rearrange already without any other postponements.

royalp-we  A point off top and they’ve lost once since October - hardly a missed opportunity for us, you can’t call them poor. Give your head a wobble and look at the state of our shit show.

Factor in that if all your keepers are isolating or ill you can't play even if everyone else is fit. Plus there is no fixed time period for players who have it to return. If they have been ill rather than just positive or isolating they could be out for quite some time. Injured players who have to isolate or get sick will probably have their recovery slowed as they won't have access to rehab facilities - a player who was close to resuming training probably is further away now.

You really aren’t very good at this are you? I haven’t said Fulham are poor. I have said they are in poor form. They are obviously one of the best sides in the division and it’s very likely that when we do play them they will be in much better form than this Best to play them when they are struggling and actually in worse form than us right now.

Elm Park Kid I wonder if this will help us keep Carroll? If he'd played every scheduled game and knocked in a few he could have a lot of clubs willing /able to pay more than we are.
