Where were you last season mate when I and CR knocked him? Were you one of the 99.9% of fans who were delighted to see Mr Capitulation stay?

I honestly can't remember - do tell.

Um, not sure if serious. Check the date on when I started this thread.

Just me being thick.

Fair play mate, apologies.

Sorry Brogue.

Still think you went way too early and you can't make that call at that time. I think it's right to back him into this season.

But you were ahead of the game and right that he wasn't up to it.

Shame he had the injury crisis as an excuse to save him beyond Oct / Nov.

Exactly this.

While I was still out early this season, I bemoaned this here comparing it to Brexit and Covid.

Then I succumbed to it myself, yay!

I remember John Swift’s free kick against posh at home and I felt that saved his job, there have been several similar moments since.

In my fifty years following the mighty royals this has to be the most pathetic performance I’ve ever witness, it’s absolute tragic what happened when we sold the club to foreigners who are just want to make money and not grasp the beautiful game. Ship em out, pay out debts and if we end up in the fourth division so be it. The club in its current state is a bloated Frankenstein monster of debt and greed and nothing to show for it except a soulless bowl of a stadium which is fitting for the soulless “footballers” who get paid a kings ransoms. Bring in Bikey as manager sort em the oxf*rd out

Actually, the club doesn't own the stadium.

Be careful what you wish for. Think if we get relegated there is a good chance the owners will walk. If they do that could be the end of the club as they own the ground and the training ground etc. Even if new owners could be found they would need very deep pockets just to buy the assets and start the club afresh - which if we got liquidated is likely to be tier 8 or so. All a bit of a mess really.

It's certainly a difficult situation. I've not felt this helpless since Andy Dufresne met the sisters.

Warnock will be announced on Thursday. Perfect for him with first game back at the Riverside, so limited prep on oppo needed.

Pauno is a decent chap…best thing for him is to cut ties now before it gets ugly. He’s out of his depth, but the Dais should step in here and do the right thing. Let’s see if that corner flag announcement is there when we all wake up!

TBH I think he'll walk away from this with his head held fairly high.

From the outside not looking at the capitulation last season a wonderful first season.

Enormous mitigating factors since then.

Finally got some UK experience.

He's not dead and buried and I sincerely wish the guy well.

Based on his interview tonight I don't think he will resign.

He didn't even have the material to apologise for that joke of a capitulation tonight.

My bad - by "walk away" I don't mean I think he'll resign. I mean when he's sacked he'll then walk away with some pride for what he's done.
