I didn't think there could be a scenario worse than Pauno just not being sacked. What a rollercoaster.

YorkshireRoyal99 So basically we are none the wiser really. Although this expectation and hope is just materialising to nothing, sounds familiar really. I wouldn't be surprised if he's still in the dugout for Wednesday really.

Fair play to Pauno for offering to step down though if that is true. Maybe some sort of financial constraint/EFL approval is preventing this from happening. As much as everyone has rightly given reasons why, there simply cannot be any other logical explanation.

Of course there can. The owner being a massive fukwit is far more likely and entirely consistent.

Just look at the Moore statement.
How Bowen leaving and Pauno arriving was handled. Not sacking Stam for ever. Giving Moore an enormous lengthy contract. Having previous clubs go out of business.

Elm Park Kid The tweet about the resignation was from an official account. The one about him being sacked was from the fake account.

Yes but this should be part of their ethos towards "rectifying errors of the past". I understand what you're saying, incompetency from the owners, but, despite all of that, I genuinely do not believe that someone who has likely worked incredibly hard for his fortune as well as being an intelligent man in his industry can be making a decision that is this stupid. I mean, I know in hindsight a lot of bad ones were made, but this just goes from the ridiculous to the extreme now.

Wouldn't it be hiLOLarious if Dai was planning on sacking Pauno if we lost to Cov, but due to his pride/stubbornness the protest has made him stick with him.

Stranded Well, we are watching the club burn today.

Which is nice.

Where have you been for 10 years?

That was just the kindling mate, today appears to be the inferno.

Unfortunately it’s an ever growing list of disastrous mistakes. I would like to see shot of Yongge but I cannot see anyone interested in buying this circus of a football club.

Disagree with that - the list of foreign billionaires looking to own a bit of the English game is significantly longer than the number of clubs for sale.

To put it another way - it only takes one idiot.

We have struggled to find owners in the past when we were a far more attractive prospect than we are right now. SJM had all sorts of problems selling the club and we owned the stadium and land surrounding the ground back then.

SJM - (bless him, and for all the good it did), was conscientious about who to sell it to.

Noone is buying championship/league one football clubs looking for a financial return on investment.
