Royals and Racers U 21’s get their PDL south division campaign off to a start tomorrow with an away game against one of the Northern teams Sheff Utd.The match kicks of at 5pm at the LNER community stadium home of York City. Unfortunate clash of dates will probably see mostly U 18 players taking part as most of the U21’s will be involved in the cup game at the SCL stadium.

Probably not a surprise, we're a cat 2, aspiring to return to cat 1 club while Bournemouth are a cat 3 club.
Always find Bournemouth a bit of a joke, Prem club with League Two facilities.

Much as I dislike AFC Bournemouth I would prefer a small stadium and moderate facilities for training and have 5 years in the Prem (and back there again) than for our players to have top of the range facilities and cat 1 or 2 Academy but labour near the bottom of the Championship.
I think Academy status is over-rated -clubs like Bournemouth still produce their own players and the longer they or similar smaller clubs stick around in the Premier League they will continue to attract promising youngsters and the alternative model used by Brentford seems to work well for them.

Come and support our Under-21s this Monday as they face Burnley in their opening home match of the season at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
We welcome the Lancashire club tomorrow for a 2pm kick off and entry is free to all and is the perfect opportunity to see the next generation of Royals players and take in some football in the sun!
The West Stand will be open for the match with kiosks open for the sale of refreshments and on site car parking is available free of charge.
Noel Hunt’s side will be competing in the Professional Development League this campaign, which means we will be facing new teams and new challenges.
The young Royals began their campaign in York on Tuesday where they took on a strong Sheffield United side.
Goals from forward duo Oli McBurnie and Will Osula won the Blades the points with Hunt's side looking to hit the ground running on home soil on Monday.
Your support for the next generation throughout the season will be greatly appreciated - a chance to take in a free game of football at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, and see snippets of what's to come from our talented Academy!
