Sutekh
Sutekh Just for the record Reading have only won 1 game by 3 goals or more since beating Sheff Wed 3-0 in March 2021.

Clean sheet was a tad too much to ask for. Overall a good result and others not done themselves any favours. Urzzzz :D

We can't keep a clean sheet.

One of the worst games I've watched this season but glad we won against those northern nobs

Now 14th, THIRTEEN points above 22nd

If anyone thinks it possible, 6th place is NINE points away

Think Reading are pretty much safe now given the number of games left (incl. games v Wigan and Huddersfield).

13 points clear of the drop with 13 to play. Safe as houses. Hope ince starts to blood some of the youngsters for the final 3rd of the season.

Not sure he would take the risk with fans like ours. Lose 3 games in a row and they'll be calling for your head.

Dreadful game really but job done. We seemed to attack twice in the second half and score both times

Blackpool were appalling. Unable to defend the absolute basics. Blunt going forward. Nailed on to go down

We did ok. Mbengue decent. Ince couple of goals. Meite some good runs for the two second half goals: Hendrick fairly good. Nothing else to write home about but the perfect set of results pretty much which could well basically make it the weekend we got safe

Lose one and they’ll be calling for him to be sacked…

Two wins should absolutely confirm that…and I’m sure we’ll get a couple more than that too. P. Ince has done his job. Focus has to go to next season now…

Some of our fans woukd have been demanding Coppell got the sack after we lost on Day 1. It’s just knee jerk stupidity most of the time, like booing at any game where we go in behind at half time.
No long term perspective.

Can’t see any of the bottom 3 getting to 48 pts so one more win I reckon

I feared the worst today but we did what we’ve been doing all season and dug out a win in a poor game of football. If Blackpool had more composure in front of goal it could’ve been a different result.

I thought Casadei was tidy today and Meite had his best game in a long time. I remember his first game back against Coventry last season and he looked a beast but we haven’t seen that again until today. Mbengue is fast becoming one of my favourite players. He’s still learning the game but has the potential to become a Rolls Royce of a player.

Happy enough with that and great to see us go 433 from the get go, suited the players a lot more.

Probably should have scored more in the 1st half and to concede to the last kick is annoying.

Still 13pts clear is a great place to be. Essentially a 5 game lead over the bottom 3 and with none of them managing more than a point per game in recent form, that may already be enough.

6 home games in a row now scoring 2 or more. Doubt that run continues v Sheff Utd but you never know.

Staggered why it wasn`t a red for the pen, last man and no attempt to play the ball, shocking game of football but 3 priceless points.

Good result in an otherwise poor game. We did learn a few things though, pace scare's defense's!! Meite and Azeez played in a 4-3-3 with cause all sorts of threats to opposing teams and will give us a chance to win games.

Please, please stick with four at the back!! i would much prefer us to go to Boro and give it a go than try to hold on in what would be an exercise in attack against defense for the whole game!!

PS thought McIntyre had a solid game at left back, however, i feel for NGW and honestly believe Ince doesn't rate him one bit!!

Maybe because he didn't really have control of the ball at that point.

I said at half-time that Blackpool were creating but failing to convert some really decent chances and that, unless we tightened up defensively, one goal wouldn't be enough. And so it proved (yet again) to be. Fortunately for once we had created a decent buffer.

Awful game. Yet again we started both halves slowly, and would have been punished if it were not for Blackpool being terrible.

Meite MotM. Someone said this week on here that he is a shadow of his previous season's, but I don't agree, he's just been played in the wrong position by Ince. Today he proved that if you put him in his proper position on the wing that he will flourish.
