Win their game Monday they'll be 14 points ahead of Sheff Utd with 6 games left
Sheff Utd lose/draw with Cardiff in the early game on the Saturday (I know, I know) then they very much can win the title at the SCL

Marvelous. Sheffield Utd keeper gives away a penalty and gets sent off after 15 minutes.

<Edit> Not a penalty. Just outside.

Burnley could still win the record on goal difference.

Theyd have to win all their remaining games by 4 goals to do that anyway

Correct! Burnley are currently +48 while Reading finished with +67 in 05/06. Burnley have 5 games left and would need to win each one by an average of 4 goals a game to beat that, if it was even a thing - which it isn’t.

£rexham are non-league….don’t accept that Hollywood love hype.

Non-league is not ‘professional’

Funny to see the club tweet about the 106 not being beaten this season and opposition fans who always tell us we're "tinpot" and "ain't got no history" criticise us for celebrating our history.

I've been keeping an eye on this thread. I thought it was poetic justice that it fell on Reading to be the team that prevents their points tally record from being beaten. I hope we (Blackburn) can do you guys a favor when we play them next week and we do ourselves a favor by beating our rivals Burnley. That would allow you to be the only 106 record holder in the championship.

On another note, I was talking to my Burnley supporting mate about the points total record and he said he would like Reading to keep it as the fans deserve something to be proud of. I found him to be a bit condescending about it but I think it's a point to be made.

Anyway, Well done for holding on the the record. May you keep it for many decades to come!

Thanks Cuppliance; my neighbour is a Blackburn fan whilst his stepson is a Reading fan, so always keep a look out for your results.

And they're going to fall short of the 99 goals too. Both stats help demonstrate which of the two teams was truly dominant during their record setting season.

The post on Twitter by the club made me chuckle, so many oppo fans getting rattled over irrelevant, tinpot Reading.

Constantly tell us we don't have any history. When we celebrate the history we do have, "you can't do that."
