I broadly agree with the principle ie the club has been poorly run but it is too personal against the owner and the name is almost racist. The campaign should have been around the lack of comms and the way the club is operationally run rather than solely against someone who has put in around £200m including one of the best training facilities in the country.

I am surprised STAR backed it as it is, which effectively means there is no link now between club and fans.

I think what SJM said is pretty accurate.

Not sure where I stand right now as I'm not really sure what success the pressure group can cause, think Dai will just ignore it all, I'm just hoping that he just becomes a good owner at this point as I can't see any other way forward, getting some good news out will help with that, cat 1 confirmation for example would be fantastic but considering everything that has gone on, he has a lot of credit he needs to build up before he can be considered credible again.

Best we can hope for I think is that their ramblings raise interest amongst monied people and organisations who may then open a "Dai"alogue with the owner about buying the club. Keep hearing that Liberty Media are looking to invest their billions, maybe they could be persuaded....

This isn't black and white - There's a hierarchy of what would be best for the club:

Best

1. Dai sells to someone with plenty of money and experience in running successful clubs.
2. Dai sells to someone with enough money and more experience of running a football club than him.
3. Dai stays as owner but delegates all decisions to people who know what they're doing and puts in the money we need.
4. Club goes into administration and a 'decent' buyer is found.
5. Club goes into administration and any buyer better than Dai is found.
6. Dai stays as owner and carries on as he has done in the past.

Worst

Missed out:

7. Club goes into administration and a buyer even worse than Dai is found.

8. Club goes into administration and no buyer is found.

By definition ,I don't think 7 is possible. Any owner that didn't immediately put us back into administration would be better than Dai.

My two pence worth, pretty stupid to protest against the owner, only going to piss him off, we're screwed if he just walks.

He’s the reason for why we’re in League One in the first place and will continue to be an active hindrance until he’s gone.

I understand why everyone is angry and upset.

However, an owner cannot be to blame for having shit employees.

He has made mistakes but he has also sunk huge amounts of his own money into our Club.

He put his hand in his pocket to keep Liam Moore - when most of us wanted him to - spent millions on strikers (Joao & Puscas) and the training set up etc…

The team we had under Pauno when we finished seventh was a very, very good team.

Had we gone up FFP would have been irrelevant. We didn’t and our owner was cornered by FFP. We are not yet finished as Derby were (and many others) but we are in a shit state.
Up to now our owner has backed very average players and very average managers who have milked the Club for all it’s worth.

As fans we need to realise that for most of the players, football is just a job to them and we shouldn’t expect them to have feelings for the club. Of course we should cherish the players that do make that bond with us. I remember seeing Martin Butler and Nathan Tyson pissing about laughing and joking after the Walsall PO final - they clearly weren’t bothered by the loss but it’s not their job to be - we as fans take on that thankless burden.

All the players mentioned won nothing, didn’t get to the top of the game, were inconsistent and were not leaders of men.

Joao is the laziest player I have seen in a Reading shirt for years.

But the people who took all the money out of the Club whilst performing woefully are the ones to blame.

Shit players on inflated wages - robotically repeating the same meaningless crap after every game - whilst taking in thousands every week and losing.

I have got no time for greedy people with average ability. They poison everything and everyone around them.

That is why the Club is where it is.

And to lose so many of our players without fees too over so many years. What a disgrace.

Only £8million for Olise!!

The fee we got for Ince was the equivalent of two or three weeks wages we paid to him.

It's everyone else's fault that we make poor apointments and ruin the club financially. Definitely not the guy in charge who decides who gets to be manager, overrules his specialist employees on who to sign because his super agent mate says so, directly intervenes in outgoing transfers and sets the spending levels vastly beyond what the club can afford, then strips its assets to himself to fiddle the finance rules.

If I had underperforming management in my business they'd be sacked and replaced. It's the utterly retarded business model the club have adopted where it seems player acquisition and playing style is dictated by anyone other than the manager and all the club looks for in that role is a coach rather than someone who can actually manage and motivate. That's why the club keep making these god awful useless appointments that drag the playing side down down deeper and down. The worse thing about it all is that these planks aren't learning from their ever growing list of mistakes.

Already looking forward to the soon to be league derby games with Maidenhead, Slough and Bracknell.

Firstly, Dai appointed the likes of Gourlay who gave out stupid contracts. But we also know he does get personally involved and make terrible decisions.

Keeping Liam Moore and offering a ridiculous contract was Dai overriding our favourite scapegoat Gourlay. Moore shared all on the EPR podcast a few years ago. He was made aware of the interest, agreed with the club what a fair fee would be. Brighton met the valuations, then Dai got involved and blocked it, before promptly offering an unaffordable contract. Rumour has it he also blocked the Loader sale.

I agree we've had mediocre players and not enough who genuinely seem to care. But that reflects a poor recruitment strategy. It all starts at the top and the buck stops with the owner.

It's the same with anyone. It's always a blame game. The owner will say the manager isn't good enough, the manager will say the players weren't good enough, players will say the manager etc.

I don't always think it's wrong for an owner to step in, of course you appoint people to decision make but you're relying on those people being good at their jobs, which they regularly aren't. No issues with us wanting to keep hold of our better performing players and looking to build around them, but it was the complete unbalance. The big contracts we should have only given to some players, we gave to a lot of players. Didn't move some on when we should have etc.
