Whoever was left behind in the UK lost 5-0 at Bearwood today against Torquay.

I know pre season games mean nothing but if that side can't score against Wimbledon then god help us. We need to get this final tax paid and get signings made because we won't compete in league one with the side we put out today.

Someone tell private Frazer that preseason friendlies mean absolutely naff all. They are no more than fitness exercises and used for experiments with formations and tactics. This is one reason I rarely bother caring about them, particularly these days when it's nearly always the same old opponents season after season.

From Despair To Where? I seem to remember us losing to Farnborough pre season in 2005.

Whilst I'm not suggesting all is rosy, it's a basically a fitness session. The result means fcuk all.

And we lost to a wonder goal, so not even any real concerns about quality of defending.

Yeah I mean you want the last few against league oppo to go well. Not necessarily win them but want to see the team starting to gel, organisation, partnerships building etc

But a game in 30c after 1 week of double session pre season training - yeah means nothing at all

I was really looking forward to going to Sutton especially as its quite close to me, but now I feel quite depressed about everything to do with my club. I think this hurts more than anything that has happened before as there seems to be no end in sight.

Will the main message from the club this week be about buying a £5.00 match pass for the Bristol City friendly? I’ll probably buy one but I won’t get to watch all of it.

This is without doubt the least interested I have ever been in pre-season - the games are pointless but if I'm not doing anything I'd look to watch but this year - just tough to get any real interest in the build up of what will be a long, long season - where at the moment, it feels like 20th will be a result.

Dai’s even broken Stranded…

Must say not enthused at another season of struggle and financial issues. Think Dai will be gone by the end of the season at the latest, wouldn’t be surprised if he is lining up a sale now

I wasn’t Dai out but now a new owner really does appeal. Hopefully, Stranded will be fixed in a day or two.

On the plus side, when the good days eventually return, oh boy are they gonna be sweet in comparison to this rotting corpse of decaying shite.

I feel much the same. If the club still exists and hasn't been relegated by the end of the season then it will be a relief. With all the worries being about what's happening off the pitch, I'm struggling to get enthused about what might happen on it.

The last few years have just been exhausting. Endless repeats of the same crap, and the one small up side to relegation was that it might coincide with an end to that period, and the start of a rebuild. Now it looks like more of the same again, and I just can't get excited about it.

Reading Chronicle says of the Wimbledon friendly

"Three trialists also took part, with the club failing to hit a shot on target in 90 minutes."

Looks like the Reading way is alive and well going into the new season.

Three trialists? Thought there were only 2.

One was probably the manager for the game.
