But they haven't done anything have they?

What has changed since they started a "movement"?

Exactly!
We need a more aggressive protest to speed up the objective.
Just look at Mandela, jailed for inciting a strike then BANG! 30 years later the end of the apartheid

exalty, thanks for proving my point

The Chris Packham documentary on whether the time had come for people to break the law when protesting about an issue was very interesting. He interviewed the founder of XR who said that the tipping point in campaigns would likely come when a household name got locked up for protesting in support of a cause. This would gain maximum publicity and dramatically increase general public support as the British sense of justice kicked in.

So basically we just need to pursuade Ricky Gervais and/or Chris Tarrant to volunteer to get themselves locked up in suppport of our campaign!

Royals and Racers Is a plane with a banner in tow to old hat ? !!!

We've got quotes for this - would require crowdfunding though.

Is a genuine consideration.

Sorry to ask but do you think that the cost of a plane with banner would be worth it as will it actually have any impact on Dai/the club bar 15 seconds of coverage on the local news? Wouldn't there be a better use for any crowd-sourced funds (not sure what though).

And is it really easier to arrange to fly a plane over the ground rather than a drone?!?

Plane over drone, yes. Drone isn't an option, whereas plane is. There would never be a permit granted and doing without would be heavily enforced.

If it were to be requested for that purpose it would be made clear it was, to enable people to make a choice as to whether they felt it was value for money. It'd be remiss of us to dismiss the idea it out of hand. All considerations at this stage.

As a household name himself was there any suggestion Chris might take one for the team?

i think we need to storm the pitch and destroy it, dig it up, get into the directors box and start pooing on the floor and smearing it all over the place

What's the wording?

Depending on that I'd kick in.

What's the total cost needing to be covered?

And can you release the banner to land on the pitch 'accidentally'?

Surely a Drone would be cheaper, Can launch it from the car park or ideally off site and flying it around the ground. Probably best to have a whip round and employ a licensed and insured drone pilot rather than some kid who got on for Christmas.

Already been explained that drones are likely to involve prosecutions and are watched for.

Snowflake Royal And can you release the banner to land on the pitch 'accidentally'?
Might cost the pilot their licence

How about a swarm of drones flying in with a weighted inflatable Rats underneath that they then release onto the pitch?

Not generally in favour of trespassing and destroying the pitch, but out of interest how long would it take for a message spelt out in weed killer to appear on the pitch?

Radio Controlled car disguised as a rat? - Can probalby just drive it in if it'll fit under the side gate, would be a laugh to see the stewards chase after it for a few minutes.

You can buy a cheap £10 radio controlled flying toy ball on amazon, doubt that'll be classed as a drone

Frisby?

Paper aeroplanes?

Facemasks - plenty in the shops right now

Why bother disguising a car?

or come as one yourself!

Will need to be for future protests though, given the delivery timescales.

Please God let that be redundant.

Everyone leave at 80 minutes booing loudly.

Not only will it get the message across but it’ll screw over all the regular 80/85 minute abandoners.

Gets around the problem of how to smuggle your projectiles into the ground I suppose, unless the stewards get wind of it and go with more intensive searches...
