Would be interesting to know if that's the people who own Gymshark or Gymshark as a company. Either way, their CEO (Ben Francis) owns 70% of the company, is supposedly worth about £1.3bn and has a season ticket at Aston Villa - so he's clearly got the wealth to fund a football club and is clearly interested in football. I'd certainly be content with that, but it does seem a bit left field.

But he talks a good game and it sounds like he isn't the money behind it. A football fan who seems to get that clubs aren't a plaything. So I'd give him a chance. But then he probably is quite a good talker/ liar. This is a man who convinced an F1 team he could afford to sponsor them and who's energy drink appears to be mythical.

It'll take months for a sale to be agreed and go through the FL checks, however the FL are insistent now that nothing be revealed to us mugs until things are completed.
