Hound Actually thought we defended pretty well up to that second goal. Think that goal was only their second shot on target after the pen? Which we contrived to earn for them

Can’t really remember them going close other than that either - that 3 vs 1 break thing they screwed up; not much else

But as usual we don’t have the mentality to see it out and give away more stupid goals

There were quite a few breaks that we dealt with that could have gone other ways.

Mostly we did deal with them, but it was clear for quite a while before that we were quite open at the back.

Hound Do worry that we just won’t win games when Smith has a bad day, which he did today. Not all his fault but worst I’ve seen him. Azeez was excellent

Their keeper didn't have a single save to make. Poor

You weren`t there then, one that he clawed away in the first and another he saved with his feet from Azeez in the second half.

We defended well??? As ever we couldn’t defend any cross into the box. It looked like we’d concede every time the ball went in.

Shit clearances every fcuking time.

First goal came from one. And the third was just poor defending all round.

Not going to lose much sleep after a defeat to a team who have picked up 21pts away in 10 games.

Well as mentioned they had one shot on target (the pen) til the 80th min so must have been doing something right

Definitely got more ragged the longer the game went on though

Ascotexgunner
Orion1871  at the bloke on BBCRB saying get Gerrard as manager.

"Hi Steven, it's Mark Bowen here. How'd you like to give up a trillion pounds a week in Saudi Arabia and come to Reading and not get paid."

I heard that as well. Was more of child than a bloke I hoped. He said Reading fans were "pansies" for not invading the pitch.
Absolut dickhead.

Yeah, I heard his rant. Talking about RFC fans being a bunch of pansies for not going on the pitch in protest. Also mentioned Jimmy from Newbury. Whatever Jimmy's got to do with that and the price of fish, f*k knows? And by the time he got to "It's all bollox", Tellor nearly had a seizure.

BBCRB is full of clueless morons. Why talk on the radio if you're going to embarrass yourself

It turns out the last time Barnsley won a game after going behind was over two years ago.

Snowflake Royal Mbengue is not a reliable fullback.

Yiadom has to start when fit. He has flaws, but he is an actual experienced RB.

If we want to play Mbengue we should drop Bindon.

Yiadom should definitely be the starting RB.

Mbengue may be someone we'd want to try at DM again (was it Arsenal U21s in the EFL Trophy game he played there?), especially now we're playing three in midfield regularly.

I don't really understand why we'd do that just as Craig is breaking through. You're not going to drop Wing or put him in behind your striker, so you'd have to drop Craig.

We have Hutch as backup.

I would keep Craig as the starting DM, but consider having Mbengue as a replacement for Craig when making subs; would be an option with Hutch's injury/disciplinary record. Savage would be the primary replacement for Wing.

Oxford must be relieved it's us next, 1 point from their last 3 league games and just as things look like they're going down the toilet, up rocks a game against the aforementioned charity. Wonder what plan to give away the points we'll get to witness this time.
